    Flying in the sky, doing flips in the air, battling those autogyros, it's cool and amazing! And Little Nellie also looked cool!

    I love Little Nellie, it's small, fast and cool. But it can only take one person.
    Wet Nellie, is fast, cool and goes underwater! Also it can take a passenger, so I'd have someone to talk too, when it started taking in water.
    Given the underwater life off the coast of Australia, I think it would be more fun.

    +1. The ski jump plus Carly Simon definitely saved the franchise.

    Re: TLD vs. LTK. I like the chances they took in LTK, and I even like Kamen's score (one of the better non-Barry ones, I reckon), but...TLD is a smashing debut for Dalton and feels more like a Bond film tonally.

    I also like how TLD is unique in that it has a compelling love interest that doesn't end tragically. Had this been the last Bond film in that timeline, it would have made sense that Bond settled down with Kara.

    Here is another would you rather:

    Would you rather a Bond movie globe hops to many locations OR stays in one location for most of the movie?

    Globe hop movies would certainly include Moonraker, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies as examples of Bond movies that have many locations and jump to and fro.

    One location movies would include Doctor No, From Russia With Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice where Bond tends to head to one location and stays there for the most of the movie.

    A one location movie allows to get into the culture and make the audience feel more of the setting. A movie that globe hops gives the film a glamorous flare!

    I'd rather have a one exotic location film. I think most of us would. It's been discussed for years and years. This and the 007 theme are recurrent topics, but no brainers for the most of us :)

    One locale for sure. Ideally a bit of the city or town, a bit of the country, landmarks and environments said location is renowned for as well as showing us something new or untapped. Bond attending traditional events and interacting with the locals. Using public transport, being threatened by an animal. You can do a lot with one location, as well as keeping to a lower budget.

    Actually, most of the Bond books were one locations only (with the possible exception of OHMSS).

    But almost all were just confined to one location (country or city).

    Seoul would be an interesting location for a Bond film and would tie in well if the plot revolved around a new technological innovation.

    It depends on the story and the location I think.

    Although I always love that moment when Bond arrives somewhere new in a Bond film, they do a great job throwing you into the new surroundings. It always adds a bit more excitement to the film.

    Just 2 or 3 locations would be good enough, but spending a lot of time in each of the places, so we get to see them properly.

    OHMSS had it right - nice balance between Portugal and Switzerland, with a dash of London thrown in at the beginning.

    Yep pretty much. And it gives the movie a special flavour at atmosphere too.

    It sure did. And the locations should compliment each other, I mean, they don’t need to be jarringly different. And they could infuse the musical theme with literal cultural notes.

    Would you rather spend a day at the horse races with Auric Goldfinger OR Max Zorin?

    Both villains seem to have an affinity for horses. Auric has a stud farm which we could gather that he either owns racing horses or enjoys the sport. Zorin is heavily involved in horse racing, he's seen at the races and later has quite the stable of horses!

    Hmm @j_w_pepper I suppose it might be a lesser of two evils question. I like mixing things up a bit from time to time with some wild ones. LOL!

    I think for me I would love to attend the races with Zorin. His entourage with May Day and the good doctor would make for a lively afternoon. Plus there would be a hint of danger and an undercurrent of crazy that would make the time spent more memorable.

    Yess, ent I could also have some Tcherman conversation viz Doctor Mortner. Plus the chance of the beer being German is bigger :-)

    But in reality, I must say that I would have loved to meet Gerd Fröbe in person. He must have been an awfully nice guy, actually. Though of course the question was about Goldfinger, not the other "GF", and about horse races which I am not interested in at all.

    Reportedly, a lot of people had a hard time acting mean or hateful towards Gert Frobe and Harold Sakata because they were so nice and charming off camera.

    Okay enough with the ponies and horses. Lets move on to another would you rather:

    Would you rather the female lead in the movie be an innocent civilian OR a highly equipped and functional agent?

    Thanks to @SIS_HQ for the suggestion! We have movies where Bond ends up with a civilian with little to no experience as an agent think Honey from DN, Tracy from OHMSS, or Solitaire from LALD. OR movies where Bond is paired with a female of some skill in the art of spying! Think Wai Lin from TND, Anya Amasova from Spy, Holly from MR, etc.

    So what do you prefer, Bond paired with a civilian leading lady, or Bond paired with a competent agent?

    I'd rather have her be a civilian, personally. It complicates Bond's life, add an extra dimension to his mission and I'm fed up with the "Bond's equal" bs.
