(Very) famous producer Walter Mirish (The Magnificent Seven, West Side Story, The Pink Panther, and do many others) has passed away, aged 101. To tell you the truth, I thought he had died long ago :

    RIP Betty Boothroyd

She could unite both sides of the house, in being terrified of her.
  • David Lindley has passed, and if you know who he was you know what a shame that is. If you've heard of David Lindley before, it's probably due to his playing as a multi-instrumentalist with Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon and the like. But David had his turn in the spotlight as well, as the founder & vocalist for El Rayo X. I'd like to remember David with a little ditty I've enjoyed playing at jams many times over the years: "Tiki Torches at Twilight" Let's all get normal at the luau...

Oh I've been listening to him lately, especially his covers of Warren Zevon material. And performances with Jackson Browne, as mentioned.

    Remembered well.

Actually, he'd been comatose for so long that his family no longer hoped for his recovery, these days, maybe one lucky person have the chances of surviving this, it's more deadly than cancer, Cancer could be survived, but not this.

In the previous news before this, the family already "decided ending of life matters" and said that "there's no further hope", I'm not surprised at this, I've already expected this from the moment that I've read those articles, but it's still sad.

Brain aneurysm spares no one, it's like a heart attack, it would just put you to sleep before ending your life, how tragic.

    RIP Tom Sizemore.

It's honestly amazing Sizemore lived that long, knowing what he put his body through in the last several decades. A tragic story, and a tragic end. Definitely one of the sadder stories, where you see someone's end coming long before it happens and are just waiting for it. I think I even believed he was already dead at one point upon first hearing this news, it was so unsurprising it had occurred. Wish he could've made the changes he needed to in his life when it was most necessary and gotten out of the bleak hole he was in, as he was a helluva talent that got wasted.

I will miss him. Heat, Twin Peaks 3, Black Hawk Down, ... Always liked him. But yeah, he lived an incredibly intense life. RIP, Tom.

I think it was Natural Born Killers I first noticed Tom in, crazy film.

    R.I.P. Tom Sizemore.

  • Here's 4 great musicians, 2 of whom have recently passed: David Crosby & David Lindley, along with the still-active Graham Nash and Jackson Browne, performing one of Jackson's more under-rated songs: "Lives in the Balance." This is what I'm talking about when I mourn what we've lost...

Had to put down my little cat SQUEAKY today.
She had Feline infectious peritonitis, a cat's version of Coronavirus.
She had a large bulge on her sides, and we took her to the vet today. There was no cure and she probably only would've lived a week at most.
This breaks my heart as my late girlfriend and I had adopter her a few years ago.
The life we had together is slowly fading away.

    @ToTheRight

I’m so sorry. There is nothing worse than losing a loved one, be it human or otherwise. I really hope the cat did not suffer too horribly. You’re in my thoughts and I’m wishing you the best recovery, even though it will not be easy.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss @ToTheRight - especially as she was a link to your late girlfriend. Even though they aren't human, we do form really intense feelings for our pets. And some would say that - in some ways - those feelings are "purer" for they express our desires for how we wished the world was.

Again, and as others have said, you are in my thoughts.

Thoughts to you @ToTheRight , our pets are as much of our family as our human members are.
I hope you can look back on all the good times you all shared together. Nothing can take those memories from you.

Our greatest condolences, @ToTheRight. Having a pet you have a strong bond with is one of the blessings of life. I am currently enjoying this blessing right now, and couldn't imagine my world without my dog in it. We are given years of joy, love and entertainment with our pets, but when we must say goodbye, it is as painful as mourning any other friend or family member. I wish you strength throughout this time.

I'm sorry to hear that, @ToTheRight. No matter how much time we have with our four legged family members, be they catto or doggo, it's just never enough.

Take some comfort in that over Rainbow Bridge, she won't be in anymore pain.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat, @ToTheRight . Cats are great companions and often show us more love and affection than many humans in our lives do. As such, their deaths are keenly felt. One can never overestimate the good that a pet cat can bring to our lives.
