I figured all those de-aging shots weren't really flashbacks but dabbling in time travel.

What are all these leaks discussed on the last page? I'd certainly like to prime myself if they end up both true and horrible.

The leak said that he's playing Toht, when as we can see he's not. I wouldn't pay them any attention.

If it is time travel I don't see the problem.

Yeah but it's not like they'd reveal his true identity after one image (much like they weren't marketing Waltz as Blofeld).

Will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

I think it's interesting how these rumours are affecting the film- it's almost becoming comparable to the Craig-Not-Bond stuff around CR with the 'can't drive stick' and 'teeth falling out' stuff that surrounded him, with lots of posts on other sites like Reddit or Twitter saying 'sounds like the plot sucks' and the like. And Michael Wilson said recently that he felt those rumours did cost CR at the box office. These Indy rumours are clearly made-up.

He's not Toht: he's older for one thing, and the bits set in the past we know are in WW2- around 4-5 years after Toht was killed. Lots of Nazis wore black leather coats.
You're also not going to get Mads Mikkelsen to play Toht when you've already got Toby Jones in the cast! :)

Can Ford drive stick, though? And has his teeth fallen out yet?

But my question, that no one seems to have addressed, is if Mads is playing Toht, which I highly doubt, how is he alive in 1969 and not melted like he was at the end of Raiders?

When internet people want to be scared of women they don't let little things like logic stand in the way :D

Is time travel really that far fetched with the miraculous stuff we’ve seen in all the other movies? I’m open to it if done well. Happy that the Nazis are returning, officially making all the odd numbered Indy films the ones with them and Sallah. Other than the supposed leaked ending, I think the rest has been reason for excitement.

Yeah I was against Nazis, but it sounds like they have an interesting angle with the thing about the ex-Nazis helping with the space race and Indy feeling left behind by the new form of adventuring to other planets.

Exactly. We had the Ark that melted faces. A bloodthirsty cult in which the leader literally was ripping hearts out. The Holy Grail that turns folks to dust by drinking the wrong one and aliens.

But yes, time travel is where it's going to far🙃

I'm in the minority of enjoying Crystal Skull and I think that plotline is as far fetched as an Indiana Jones plot could go.

Temple of Doom also features actual working voodoo dolls and a magic potion which brainwashes people.
  • I think where people split hairs is that the original films involved the supernatural rather than the extraterrestrial.

I’m thinking a title and trailer will be here within the next week or two - the ball is quite in motion now with all these images and random tidbits appearing!

Are we sure there's time travel - could it be possible some of those photos are Indy at an re-enactment of sorts?

I saw a leaked trailer and it looks cool…

Mangold, a very competent filmmaker, looks like will put everything into this film, unless Steven that clearly lost interest in the character.

Do you mean the one that leaked some.time ago or an actual new one?

The D23 one I’m late to the party!

Don't worry. Thought there was another one. But we should be seeing the D23 trailer anytime soon

Confirmed: Indy will be de-aged for the opening of the movie. In 1944, not long after Army of the Dead (2009). More to come Thursday!

So, the movie's not about time travel after all! You don't know how much relief that gives me! #:-S

I don't think that eliminates the potential of time travel from the plot. I don't mind either way.

Yes, these moments could be flashbacks or also be time travel elements too.
Both then I assume. Mads Mikkelsen’s quote still seems like a giveaway about the time travel, connecting with the rumor we heard about
the Nazis trying to go back to have Hitler win the war.

I think the time travel concept could be interesting. The rumored leaked ending bothers me, though. I was more excited for INDY 5 weeks ago, but now I'm not so sure.
Hopefully the trailer and title will get me excited again.................

The rumoured ending shows all the signs of being completely made up, pay it no attention.

Nice new pic. It seems that Helena is a bit of a screwball, con-woman type. Sounds fun.
