    The 'Boyle wanted to kill 007' rumour has been pitched as something he wanted and something he fought against. We will have to see how NTTD ends to find out who was on what side...

    Meanwhile, whilst Rami Malek was an uninspired choice - a masterstroke really, I was stunned when he was mentioned as he's perfect for the part but had never come to my mind before - but Tomasz Kot would also be great.

    Kot just looks so a dapper, evil villain in the making. I hope we get to see him in a big production, as he really stood out in the Cold War. Which was a little overhyped and uneventful for my tastes otherwise....seriously sexy cinematography though

    It looks like EON has a few recurring issues with casting Eastern European guys as the lead villain.

    Thank you for reminding me of all this information! If I do remember Boyl's will to cast Tomasz Kot as a villain, a very good choice if you ask me, I don't remember having read anything about a female bad guy or a rookie MI6 agent. I guess the last may have become the character of Lashana Lynch through the rewrites. The link with the novel Moonraker is in any case interesting. I hope that we will learn more over the next years.

    Thank you for reminding me of all this information!     For a more hands on villain, it would have had to have been the 60's or the 70's. He was effortlessly dangerous looking as Joubert in Three Days of the Condor, for example.

    Any chance Danny Boyle and his crew come back for Bond 26 given the likely changes coming to the film industry post COVID? I know its highly unlikely given the recent split but this pandemic has caused more unlikely things. Others have hypothesized that smaller budgets and fewer cast will be preferred which sounds like the early days of the Boyle production.

    I do remember you saying the split between EON and Boyle was finite. I am just hopefully they will pick up on the idea of filming the next one in Canada.... selfishly that is

    Am a Danny Boyle fan. And when I look at his filmography, I know Boyle isn't a fan of Big Budget films. He's more comfortable with indie films, like The Beach,Trainspotting, etc. I don't think he was ever entirely comfortable with a very large crew, so he just used the opportunity of the disagreement & left. Am sure they would have worked things out, if he really wanted. I can't help but think Boyle was always telling himself 'Should I stay or should I go' before and after he took on directing duties for Bond.

    I don't know the entirety of Danny Boyle's Bond plot, but one think I know is Boyle's Bond would have been a very stylish picture.

    Disney's musical drama Hamilton, originally due for a wide-release in theaters on October 15, 2021, will now be going straight to VOD on Disney+ on July 3, 2020.

    Oh, wow. Completely forgot about those.

    I really do hope we find out, in detail, what Boyle's film was going to be after NTTD is properly released. The MI6 site led us to believe on Twitter they'd had firsthand accounts of the script, so hopefully it does one day all come to light...

    Here's hoping NTTD gets the same treatment when the time comes. Coz i seriously don't see the movie being released in the cinemas in November. Right now I don't care how I see it just as long as I get to see it. No more delays please.
