Nope, Disney owns Star Wars 100% and owes Lucas nothing.

I don't know what this is and I don't care in the slightest bit

It's horseshit anyway. If there's IP rights in the way, regardless of characters, Lucas would still be owed money for things like X-wings, TIE fighters, Star Destroyers, yadda yadda, and even then, the dead characters are still frequently referenced and come back in the way of Force ghosts and what not. Disney 100% owns Star Wars, they paid $4 billion for it, and George Lucas has comfortably retired.

So, yeah, that is all kinds of crap.

Could be cool. Disney seem reluctant to go back to the prequels era so we may see this set between eps 3 - 4 before Ben met Luke. I guess Disney can ret-con his past and not have him living as a hermit.

Star Wars Resistance has been cancelled after two seasons. But that looked a bit naff so let's forget about it. ;))

Resistance is actually a good deal better than it ever looked in the trailers. The trailer for the second season looks pretty promising, too.

I'm really excited for this Obi-Wan series and hope this series runs for 1-2 seasons max. I think anymore than that it could damage the brand.

I´m not a SW geek, but I guess if the original cuts were released on BR, I couldn´t resist.

Me too. Would be awesome. The incredibly well done De-specialized Editions of the original trilogy are the one I always rewatch.

Cannot be far off seeing as it is released in December?
  • The Disney Expo 'D23' is this Friday, so hopefully then?
We should also get an official look at The Mandalorian series as well.

If history is anything, we can expect the next trailer in October, with a final poster.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Disney haven't released anything from the Mandalorian. And that's coming out before ix. I'll be very surprised if they don't show a trailer then.

There was a BTS reel at Celebration Chicago earlier this year, but I don't know if it was officially released. Pretty sure I watched it via cam footage.

I do not want to see this film, but I feel like I have no choice.

Hoping hard for those theatrical cuts to be released, even if it isn’t likely. I’d buy it in a heartbeat on DVD or Blu-Ray (don’t have 4K) - probably even pre-order. The original unaltered SW trilogy is certainly still the best thing of the whole franchise. Bar a couple changes here and there, the altered cuts are inferior.

Just watched it recently, but I put in The Empire Strikes Back again today. The crown jewel of the franchise and one of my favorite films in general. It's just perfect.

Almost as subtle as the Mickey head in Mission to Mars.
