    What Dyson failes to appreciate though, is that vanilla, while being simple and straight forward, might often be the best flavour ;)

    Perhaps, but I fail to see the charm in Dr. No. In some places in the film, logic is thrown out of the window. It is very inconsistent also. However, one criticism of the film I don't agree with is that "there isn't enough of Dr. No himself". I think that it adds to his elusive character.

    What I was referring to previously-
    -The supposedly lethal tarantula
    - The demise of the Three Blind Mice (a "wtf" moment for me. The car just spontaneously exploded for no apparent reason)
    - the radiation removal shower (?)

    But these are just minor nit picks of the film.

    I just don't think that it lives up to what's to come in the Bond world. There are far more more exotic flavours to enjoy!
