For me, OP might rank somewhere in the early teens. Excellent film, but there's just so many I rate higher. TLD, TSWLM, CR, Connery's first four - all in the top ten. FYEO's in front of OP, but not by much. I think I put LALD slightly ahead of OP, but not because I think it's the better film, just a personal favourite.

    Interesting ranking. MAJESTY'S!?!
Haha I was bracing for that reaction. It has never been a top ten favourite of mine , Lazenby does an 'acceptable' job in the role, amazing ost and beautiful cinematography. I'll just say I enjoy those other Bond's better! :)

+1. I do like that list. Largely conformist but with a few notable spanners in the works

I guess for some people the lead actor is more important than other cogs that make up a Bond film. Personally I favour action, score, and strength of all the characters (eg Kerim Bey).

It's great to see LALD at the top of someone's rankings. It's never higher than five in my own (except in 1973, when I was a 11, it was number one...until TMWTGG came out the following year), but it never goes below seven either.

Cheers for the comments guys! LALD has always been close to my heart, it was the only Bond film I owned on VHS for many years until I slowly bought the collection on DVD. It'll always be #1 for that reason and I still love the film :).

My better half ranks LIVE AND LET DIE as her number one fave Bond. Usually it's in my top 10 at least.

Always have a soft spot for LALD.
Have really good memories of its TV debut (one of the highest audience figures for a Bond premiere on Television.)

Fine list! TWINE in last place is regrettable, but OHMSS at nummer 1 is a great pick!

Started a Bondathon myself recently, have fun with it ;)

While you’re rewatching them you can always share your newest thoughts at the ‘Bondathon thread’.

Sorry but twine would be last on mine too if not for Spectre. To it's credit the PTS and '007 your time is up is brilliant'

That was ridiculous last time. Many had SP in their Top Five months before it came out. I think that determination to love it may have led to that early swelling of ecstasy so many were in those first few weeks after seeing it. Most of those people reassessed at least somewhat. I know not everyone is as down on it as I am, but you rarely see it as a Top Ten.

I was one of them. I absolutely loved Spectre on release. It wasn't until I brought the film home on blu-ray that I found it rather dull and uninteresting after the first act. By the 3rd act the film is too far gone (right after Bond's "torture" and blowing up Blofeld's base). Now it's near bottom of my list.
