Struggled with my listing this time after an extended Bondathon. I love all the Bond films in varying degrees. I don't dislike any.
GE was the biggest drop and LTK the suprising riser.
SP is a difficult one to place at the moment.

    1. GOLDFINGER
    2. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
    3. DR NO
    4. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
    5. CASINO ROYALE
    6. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE
    7. THUNDERBALL
    8. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
    9. SKYFALL
    10. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
    11. TOMORROW NEVER DIES
    12. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
    13. OCTOPUSSY
    14. LICENCE TO KILL
    15. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
    16. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
    17. GOLDENEYE
    18. MOONRAKER
    19. SPECTRE
    20. LIVE AND LET DIE
    21. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
    22. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
    23. A VIEW TO A KILL
    24. DIE ANOTHER DAY

Good list Leonardpine, though I would prefer LTK higher and TND/SF lower.
    Surprisingly low for LALD too!

Thanks @Mathis1 LTK has gone up in my estimation last time i watched it and who knows, it could rise even further in the near future!

After 15 it gets tougher to rank the films and to be fair a lot of those in the bottom 10 are pretty interchangeable depending on my mood when i watch them.

SP is tricky. I like it a lot but there is a lot not right with it and it was puzzling where to put it.

I love all the Bond films to varying degrees though.

My latest ranking. I admit I really like the Glen era. 80s and 60s were simply the best. In my eyes Bond films were the best when they deal with the Cold war and Bond was doing real spy work.

I think I would largely agree with that statement. Unsurprisingly TLD also tops my rankings.

Always been a big fan of the Glen era myself.
  • @FoxRox Your ranking, to my knowledge, seems to be really close to what I'm seeing shaping up to be "the new canonical" ordering of the films. The near-universal top 5-6, that cluster of films the next tier down that now includes Quantum of Solace after its reappraisal by the Bond community at-large. The bottom chunk seems to be widely agreed upon as well, namely Spectre's inclusion (the newest Bond film is almost never so widely agreed upon to where I see it within the same five spots on almost everyone's list) and TWINE now being regarded as just as bad, if not worse, than the reviled Die Another Day.

Anyways, we disagree on a few things here and there, but yours is just about the list I would show to an "outsider" if they had watched all of the films and asked what the Bond community's general consensus was.

Interesting. I’d say the biggest differences in most lists I see here from my own are SF and AVTAK a bit lower and TLD higher. But certainly my general picks for the Top 10 and the bottom few aren’t anything surprising.

TMWTGG and DAF have been quite bottom tier entries for me for a long time now. Can't find many redeeming qualities about them myself. I do much prefer TMWTGG though even though it's just one film above DAF.

I always get a little sad when people are so hard on YOLT and TMWTGG. DAF too, for that matter (although you have that one in the same spot that I do).

I actually love DAF. There's just a few movies I enjoy more. I think YOLT and TMWTGG have very good first and third acts. However, the middle of both of those films really drag them down.
DAF only has a few bits I find really good - most involving Wint and Kidd. I think TMWTGG has a very good third act but the stuff leading up to it is a mixed bag at best. YOLT is pretty good most of the way with a little bit of drag in the middle. Mostly just lower on my list because my enjoyment of the other ones above it is higher.
