Yes, but mine doesn't have the introductory study that was on Amazon's preview. Do you have it?

I own a mix of the 2002 and 2004 UK Penguin covers.
  • I don't know if this counts in the thread's context, but I have all the books Kindle versions, too.

I am at campus and don't have it with me so I couldn't check even if I knew what you were referring to.
  • I have a beautiful set of the leather bound, gold leaf, Easton Press collector's edition that feature the JC first edition cover artwork inside.
Evidently they did two runs and they now sell for silly money on e-bay.
Won't be parting with mine - I love them to bits.

I note you've got the Penguin editions. I really like them - they are class and they capture the ambience completely.
In fact, apart from the JC originals and Raymond Hawkey's great artwork for the '60s, I think you have the best.
God knows, there's been some dross over the years!

@Villiers53, I'm just joking around. I am happy with mine (of those I have). After all, it's the wonderful text that's important. :)

    Very much agreed!

Doesn't stop me from having several complete sets, though. ;)

  • I only have Dr.No right now and I think it a Book Club edition

How much do you play to buy the books anyway? and buy it separately or as a set?

Depends what format you're looking to get. Kindle versions, for example, can go for as little as $7.99 if you catch them while they're having a sale, or something like $11.99 regularly. I found a paperback set at a Cosco for $20 when Quantum was released in theaters.

It was a funny one. I was living in the US at the time (2005) and I read that Eaton Press had done this great edition. I went on line to order and it came up as out of stock.
I phoned them up on the off chance and the guy said "you know what - we've one set left if you want it." Unbelievable!
I only payed the cover price and they are quite beautiful.

I own that set as well. They hold a special place in my heart; those are the editions I read when I was introduced to the character.

I have a mish mash of the "still life" covers (5) circa 1972-73, and the "girls on guns" covers (5) circa 1984, plus a 1st printing of YOLT (1965), a 1972 Pan "White" cover of FRWL and the film cover versions of both LALD and TMWTGG circa 1973 and 1974.
My favourites are the Still Life covers.I like the way various objects from the novels are laid out across both the front and back.
I wish I had a whole set. Actually I originally had 10 of the Still Life covers but lost 5 and had to replace them later with the "girls on guns" covers.

Have all of those but the Quantum of Solace one.
I also own different editions of Dr. No, Moonraker, Casino Royale, OHMSS, Live and let die and YOLT, however I wanted a full collection and I just loved the covers.

When I bought them however, I haven't really noticed the Quantum one. The short storys are all covered in FYEO and TLD anyway, aren't they?

Great set. I love those designs Raymond Hawkey did for pan. They are absolute classics and not surprisingly they were the fastest selling editions ever!
I can't for the life of me understand why today's cover art is so bad (not only on Fleming but on just about everything)>

That's one hell of a collection you have. Lots of impossible to find original hardbacks and paperbacks.
You could probably put it on ebay someday and make some bucks, if you don't leave it for your heirs.
