Little help with some iconic lines in script pease

edited September 2012 in Bond Movies Posts: 2
Hi all!
Can you tell me any iconic lines that were said in the scenes 'The World is Not Enough' Zukovsky's casino office and Elektra's villa entrance hall and for 'Never Say Never Again' - Shrublands health clinic.

It's for a project I am doing about Luton Hoo Hotel where these scenes were shot. Any other useful about these scenes would be of great help as well.

Many thanks!!

'It's still in pretty good shape'- referring to the car and his own health at shrublands in NSNA.

He could, but I think it's a totally reasonable request to ask fans if they don't own the films.

If we gave the quotes they would have to get the films to back them up and reference them anyways.
to ask us to provide this seems a little lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy.

Okay, that's your opinion. But I'm sure if you had to write an article on something of which you were not an expert, you might turn to those who had a superior knowledge of the subject.

The guy's just asking for help and come to those who might be able to offer it. So far, he's got little more than an insult. If you've got nothing positive or helpful to add, why bother saying it?

Go to MI6 HQ (at top of page), select the 'Movies' tab and then the index will allow you to select The World Is Not Enough. The page for that movie will include 'Quotes'. Have a read through those.

Can't help with NSNA, I simply refuse to acknowledge that film ;-)

    NsNa is a good film
  • Thanks very much Qbranch, DoubleoNothing and NicNac.

Sorry to have disturbed you oo7.
I am not a bond fan and know nothing about the films, I was just looking for a little extra help for a small part of the project that I need to add in today and therefore don't have the resources at short notice to go get the movies and watch them.

Anyway, thanks all! Any other info or opinion on these scenes would be helpful!

I dont mind helping the guy out but there are no 'iconic' lines in the scenes he mentions.

The closest is Bond being required to give a urine sample at Shrublands:
'Can you fill this for me Mr Bond?'
    'From here?'

But thats just a gag Clement and Le Frenais recycled from Porridge and though Sean delivers it well enough hes no Ronnie Barker.

Such a shame he didnt ask about the Jinx coming out of the water scene in DAD - positively bristling with sparkling dialogue.

What's funny is that when I saw NSNA in the theatres I recognized that line as being "stolen" from the sitcom Three's Company!

There's Bond's comment to Bull, the bad guy with the gold braces, in Zukofsky's office: 'I see you put your money where your mouth is'
Also, maybe Zukofsky's comment 'Bull, give them an inch, and make sure they lose it in this casino' when sending away two paid ladies :)

Here are the quotes @NicNac was referring to:

    Are they iconic? Really?

I dont think anything written by P & Wcould be classed as iconic.

'Yo mamma' perhaps, although infamous would be a more accurate description.

No, by no means are they iconic, but they are the best ones there are in those scenes, so I thought it might help :)

  • I think all the author needs do maybe is look on IMDb for instance, and TWINE 'quotes' or NSNA even. There are plenty of quotes to indulge in that may be of help or if not that, then other similar sites that could cater for such a thing

It's naive to think we all own/have access to EVERY film.

It's good to know someone else share my contempt towards that movie, which neither do I acknowledge as a Bond film.

I think it's cool they were filmed at the same place. An "unofficial" Bond film shoots there, and 20 odd years later an official one does too.

I like NSNA. It's not as good as the original Thunderball but it's fun and was a much better send off for Connery than DAF. I count it as a Bond film.

Anyway, there are two great lines that stand out to me from TWINE and NSNA, but they're not from those scenes!
