    …and today is the 56th anniversary of the Beatles Revolver album (August 5, 1966).

    To quote author Chris Ingham:
    Revolver is the album in which the versatility of The Beatles turned into an eclecticism that was near surreal in its range. There were kids’ songs, acid rock, hard soul, protest rants, soothing ballads, Indian classical-style music and arrangements for double string quartet. There were paeans to lovers, paeans to drugs and even a sardonic paean to a drug dealer.

    As others before me have stated, “Tomorrow Never Knows” will never date. It will always sound like a song from some future age.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARBARA BACH!

    I noticed recently that both imdb and wikipedia have changed her birthdate from August 27th, 1947 to August 28th, 1946.
    We don't make mistakes of this sort, so I'm sticking to the birthdate on her official website and FB page. The one that's been her birthdate for decades.

    Maybe they'll change Roger Moore's birthdate by a day or so?
