The MI6 Members and the Favorite Bond Movie List

edited July 2012 in Bond Movies Posts: 4,762
Note, this is not a "Which one is your favorite?" thread, but rather a way for us to see what the most liked Bond movie might be here on the forums by seeing which members have which Bond movie as their favorite. Here's an example to start off:

Dr. No- ???
From Russia with Love- @haserot, @CraigMooreOHMSS, @Sharky, and @Samuel001
Goldfinger- @sirseanisbond and @SirHenryLeeChaChing

On Her Majesty's Secret Service- @TheWizardofIce, @wildboonjive and @GeorgeLazenby
Diamonds Are Forever- @JBFan626
Live and Let Die- @Baltimore_007
The Man with the Golden Gun- @DaltonCraig007 and @007RogerMoore
The Spy Who Loved Me- @St_George, @MartinBond and @4EverBonded
Moonraker- @SaintMark
For Your Eyes Only- @actonsteve
Octopussy- @Benny
A View to a Kill- ????
The Living Daylights- @MajorDSmythe and @HenryJonesVictor
License to Kill- @thelivingroyale and @licensetoforum
GoldenEye- @00Beast, @Creasy47, @DarthDimi and @Murdock
Tomorrow Never Dies- @TheBondFan
The World is not Enough- ?????
Die Another Day- probably nobody
Casino Royale- @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, @DoubleOhhSeven, @SJK91, @Kerim, @MrBond, and @Virage
Quantum of Solace- ?????

Feel free to add yourselves to the list! These are the people I thought of right off the bat, so I didn't intend on leaving anyone out! Also correct me if I put your name down for the wrong favorite.

I would say CR, FRWL, GE, and OHMSS have a lot of people listing them as their favorites. a top 4 for sure, methinks.

Very good Beast, Live and Let Die is my favorite, nothing will displace it, I thought Brady had From Russia with Love as his favorite though ?

No, CR. FRWL is a close, close, close, close, close second.

    Shouldn't Haserot's be A View to a Kill?

Max Zorin wasn't in FRWL I mean..

By the way, Benny has Octopussy as a favorite film, he loves that release

    I think @SirHenryLeeChaChing ranks GF 1st. I'm sure somebody will have TSWLM 1st, it's a classic.

Does anybody else rank LTK first other than me?

Yeah, I know @MajorDSmythe is a big Dalton fan, and I think Dimi likes him too.

Thanks guys! I've put down @Benny for Octopussy and @SirHenryLeeChaChing for Goldfinger. As for @haserot with FRWL, that is is his favorite actually, he's said so before, but I'm sure you just missed it. He has Zorin as a favorite villain, but not AVTAK as a whole.

I would loved to have seen Max Zorin in From Russia With Love..

(Number One) - 'Make his death a particularly humiliating and unpleasant one'

    (Zorin) - 'hehehe hahaha ha'

(Donald Grant) - 'not until you crawl over here and kiss my foot'

    (Zorin) - 'hehehe haha ha'

(Bond) 'which Lunatic Asylum did they get you out of ?'

(Zorin) - 'hehe hehe ha ha'

(Titiana Romanova) - 'I think my mouth is too big'

    (Zorin) - 'hehehe haha ha'

You must give me the name of your oculist! (surprisingly, a line from OHMSS actually worked well in this situation, wow.)

@MrBond: So do you have a tie between Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace for your number one favorite? This list is for number one favorites, just to clue you in, I'm sure you were just unaware. If it is a tie for you, that's fine, I'll take it!

Whoever started that Die Another Day appreciation thread must surely be the name for that particular release, there's like 17 pages devoted to it ?! I don't remember who it was without looking again, but they must have liked it for sure

I don't think Wizard of Ice's favorite James Bond release is OHMSS though :-/

I remember some hard words being said against it from that direction a few months back and a little altercation with another participant with it, with all due respect, unless there was a change of heart, it just got my attention straight away when I looked through the above list. I apologize unreservedly If I got things a little mixed up but it's just one thing I clearly remember from a short time back

Actually, and very surprisingly, @TheWizardofIce himself started that thread, as hard as that is to believe.

    Lol Dalton fans are rare...

Not at all. I love Dalton and his films, just Sean and Dan top him. That doesn't mean he is bad by any means. I love his adaption of Bond, and how he dashed the camp out of the Bond series after so long.

There has to be someone with DN as #1! The origin of it all, a brilliant villain, so many fantastic scenes with Bond in the tux and offing Dent just to name two. Wonderful Bond girl with the most iconic entrance, great locations and music.

That's what I was thinking too! For all of it's legendary appeal and classic reputation as the beginning, you'd think we would have had someone own up to the name by now! The same goes to The Spy Who Loved Me, I mean even the casual, everyday fan knows of it!

There are probably many, it is just that they aren't regulars around here.

I know, that's the sad part, we probably have a really wide plethora of different fans here that just don't find the time to become regulars on here.
