Yes, in general its the PAL format tapes that used the butchered version of OHMSS in the 80s - UK, Australian, French, German etc. PAL laserdiscs were the same. The US and Japanese 80s releases only had minor trims (the odd line here and there) although they weren't exactly the same prints. I suspect the slightly cut version (such as was on the SE DVDs) probably represents Hunt's final, prefered cut rather than the fully uncut version we currently have on Blu-ray (which is more or less Glen's cut for the premiere).
