    Let's try some more clues for this Eon Character.

    1) We don't know what the audience knows.
    2) My job title can be both heard and seen (and in that order).
    3) It seems like we could cut out the middleman here. Or should I say woman?
    4) Someone put in a request to see me.
    5) I end up in the same place that I started, albeit in a different position.
    6) There is no doubt of our location.
    7) It's important to me to get all the information.
    8) I have a bit of a Mr. Rogers vibe going on.
    9) We would be horrified to learn the truth.
    10) Maps abound!

    11) I made my debut before he made his.
    12) Someone reports to me and then I report to someone else.
    13) Black and green.

    Okay, I believe you then. His title in the film is Foreman of Signals and that was what I was trying to get from you. If you watch the scene again you'll see what I mean.

    Either way, you knew who the guy was! Great job in solving it.

    Let me explain the clues quickly - They are unaware and would be shocked to learn of the murders of Strangways and his secretary.

    He is called the Foreman of Signals by the other guy who I thought was the radio operator. It is also labeled on the glass by his desk. There is a woman who goes from one guy to the other. It seems unnecessary.

    He begins and ends at his desk. A couple of establishing shots show they are in London. He wears a dress shirt and tie with a sweater like Mr. Rogers. There are many maps on the walls.

    He appears before Connery's introductory scene and we can see both black and green telephones on his desk.

    Btw, I didn't think you were being difficult and I hope you didn't think I was either. Just looking for some clarity. Congrats again and over to you.

    3) We were confused as to why the conversation was temporarily interrupted.

    Hey, you got it!

    According to the James Bond Wiki page, their names are Mr. and Mrs. Karlski!
    They are sitting at the desk listening to the guy talking when Largo walks in, as you mentioned.

    Gay old time = Gay Paree.
    Visas (It's everywhere you want to be) will be arranged at the Brazilian Consulate.
    The man at the desk stops talking when Largo enters.
    Only Mr. Karlski speaks.

    I had a few more nice clues lined up before I thought it would be solved. Nice job @Last_Rat_Standing!
