    Yes well done Birdleson, a very thorough answer! Joshua from DAF is the character.

    Young actor Brinsley Forde later founded 1980s reggae band Aswad and is still active in the music industry.

    The incomplete Bible belongs to Mrs Whistler, of course, the wily old bint. Clue number five is phonetic: it "sounds like U2" who had success with The Joshua Tree.

    Well, I had been thinking about someone on a ship since day one. Then it hit me about the "gifts" that Renard presented to Nikolai and his crew. I came up with Zukovsky (that was sneaky of you) not long after.

    Ah yes, totally kicking myself now. Great round, well done. Just one query - where do you get 7 3/8 inches from? That is around 19cm which is the standard size for a bracelet, certainly not big enough for a head!

    Nice guess but it's not him.
    I will also reveal that this character does have an actual name, not just Prison Guard from GF (as an example). Perhaps that will help a little.
