    NSNA has an awful soundtrack and several scenes I don't care about or even bore me. But it also has some (not many...) good action bits and we got Connery back AND every scene with Carrera is visually working for me ;)
    I prefer all EON movies over NSNA but it is still much better for me than CR67 which isn't a Bond film at all. I tried to watch this crazy "comedy" three times but gave up every time. I've never made it to the end and never will.

    I quite like NSNA despite the surrounding circumstances. Relaxing Sunday viewing.

    I watched CR67 for the first time around 2011. My memories of it are a bit vague, just that it was some weird nonsense, like a crazy dream. Reaction after first viewing: What just happened? Watched the film again about a year later, this time with an open mind. Reaction after second viewing: see above^

    I just adore that CR poster with the girl with the guns. One of the very best. Ever.

    But I'd rather watch Kim Bassinger and Barbara Carrera. And our man Sean.

    Love the cast on both films, though. Some of the greatest. But parodies are not my cup of tea.

    For one reason, and one reason only.

    That's several reasons. But all of them are equally good. Miss Bisset is even more "equally good" than the rest. ;-)

    Both aren't my favourite Bond films (if they can be called that) but I'd take CR '67 over NSNA. It's a mess of a film, but it has its moments (the spy school sequence stands out for me). As a previous user above said it really is like some weird dream, and I think it's that absurdity which makes it interesting.

    NSNA is just boring.

    I like David Niven. I like the mess that is CR'67. It's one of the most insanely odd films I've ever seen. The fact it was finished and released is really quite amazing.
    I have a strange soft spot for it. Similar to NSNA, but there was a better Bond film in 1983. ;)

    I think the fact it’s not a Bond film per se, and is clearly an outlandish piece of nonsense. Having multiple Bonds all with the name James Bond 007 doesn’t translate to the EON series of Bond films.
    At least I’ve never seen it that way. ;)

    CR67 is not to be taken seriously. It's a silly but enjoyable '60s spoof. The codename theory has nothing to do with it; that's just an annoying invention that was perpetuated by bored people on the Internet. 😉

    Great conversation and enjoyable posts. I must admit to being somewhat surprised by the love shown to CR 67. Thought NSNA would be the clear winner. The ladies, goofiness and music of CR 67 got some love. For me I would rather watch NSNA over CR 67. To see Connery back and in fine form is a treat and there are certain aspects of TB that I think are better executed in NSNA.

    Okay on to another would you rather!

    Would you rather have had a third Dalton movie OR have had George appear in a follow up to OHMSS?

    Tough one! I really would want both. I'm torn now. I guess, being a Daltonite, that I will pick that third film with my favourite Bond.

    Definitely and unequivocally a third Dalton film. Lazenby was the worst element of the otherwise excellent OHMSS, the only reason it ranges for me as an "also ran".

    Very easy choice for me: lightning wasn’t going to strike twice, especially for Lazenby, and Dalton is a fascinating (if flawed) James Bond. I’d give a lot to see a third Dalton film… I’d be curious if he could keep the great things he did as the character while adding a little “star shine” to his third outing. Even if he couldn’t pull that off, what he’d do would be far more than anything poor George could execute…

    Third Dalton film. Just as long as it wasn't directed by John Glen. Maybe a modern day adaptation of Colonel Sun. Or having Anthony Hopkins as a villain.

    Third Dalton Bond, day and night.

    OHMSS is a one and done lightning in a bottle. Leave it perfect and untouched.

    I'd love both, but as Tim is my favourite of them all, I'll go for that third Dalton one.

    Definitely a third Dalton film. I like OHMSS but Lazenby is one of the weak links of that film. I don't think the series would have been in a good place with him as Bond for more than that film. Dalton's Bond may not have been for everyone but he's a fine actor and I personally think deserved one more outing.

    By default, a third Dalton film. I honestly think a second Lazenby, either of the same tone and quality as OHMSS or a spoof like DAF, would have destroyed the franchise.

    A third Dalton film wouldve featured him as a Cowboy (chaps and all) riding a monster truck round Vegas…. So eh maybe not after all 😂😂

    I’d probably have to go with a 3rd Dalton film. An OHMSS sequel with Lazenby would be awesome, but I would just kill to see where Dalton’s tenure could’ve gone next after LTK!

    Perhaps with Peter Hunt directing maybe, but we’ll never know.

    Without fully checking, most of the other “alternatives” posed in this thread were based on actual things (i.e., CR’67 and NSNA were real films). This question (GL #2 vs. TD #3), however, asks us to choose between two things that never happened. The true definition of the term speculative!

    Ideally, I would liked to have seen a proper follow-on to OHMSS with Lazenby seeking revenge for Tracy’s murder. However, that might have impacted the purity of how I see that film in retrospect. Plus, George’s limitations as an actor may have been magnified (even more), in a second film where he wasn’t surrounded with such top flight talent (Rigg, Savalas, etc.).

    So, by default I would choose to see a third Dalton outing as Bond.
