    I still think it's funny though that when this place started the mods were gonna try to crack down on copyrighted EON images in avatars. Obviously that priority dropped. One thing I liked about KTBEU was that we were forced to look for non-copyrighted images to submit, and there was a lot of really great submissions of actors from the 60s which were difficult to find because most of their images on search engines are all Bond related.

    And yes, we had to look hard for things we were allowed to show.

    I also recall making certain beginner's mistakes which could've easily gotten me banned if stubornly repeated. Thankfully, the KTBEU mods were very patient, and I trust we are too. 😉

    I remember posting gifs of Bond images like Moore shoving the Thai boy off his boat because I thought it was hilarious, and then the mod hammers came down. I was brand new, so I was given a courteous finger wag.

    I understand that now. It wasn't a good time. I brought up the bitterness aspect because there was a point a year after the transition that I and a few others from BAB popped up here to say hello and reconnect. I was feeling ready to come back because I missed a lot of the folks here and SF was just around the corner, and then Page responded like this: https://www.mi6community.com/discussion/comment/135104/#Comment_135104

    He immediately locked the thread right after that post of his, before samuel001 would reopen it for the 2nd anniversary.

    As I said, I’m past all that, I bring it up because at the time that kind of response really put me and others off. Eventually I’d post more regularly like I do today, and am glad to be here among you all.

    Speaking of vets, anyone remember bond_fan, and his infamous audition videos on YouTube that he thought made him a better Bond than Daniel Craig?

    Does anyone remember Bond_fan?
    Oh yes…yes I do. :))
    Unfortunately he removed all of his content and YouTube videos, so there’s no proof of any of his…shenanigans/lunacy/ etc.
    But he was a fun guy, who gave so much material. I wonder what happened to him?
    Probably the CEO of a major global company :))
    We sure had some fun with that.

    Oh yes…yes I do. :))
    Unfortunately he removed all of his content and YouTube videos, so there’s no proof of any of his…shenanigans/lunacy/ etc.
    But he was a fun guy, who gave so much material. I wonder what happened to him?
    Probably the CEO of a major global company :))
    We sure had some fun with that.

    A lot more names come by when I try to find my way through the wayback machine, hoping to find my joining date....

    Oh wow, all this time I thought it was 31st. It's weird looking at my old profile after all this years. Very strange.

    Also, someone mentioned bond_fan. Yeah, I remember him. Unfortunately, images of his dramatically receeding hairline, have been burned into my memoery. I wonder how his audition for Bond went. :-?

    Speaking of vets, anyone remember bond_fan, and his infamous audition videos on YouTube that he thought made him a better Bond than Daniel Craig?

    Unfortunately he removed all of his content and YouTube videos, so there’s no proof of any of his…shenanigans/lunacy/ etc.
    But he was a fun guy, who gave so much material. I wonder what happened to him?

    Was that screengrab from a thread dedicated to collecting DVDs? Really takes me back. I used to buy so many DVDs during the KTBEU days, searching for the best transfers, George Lucas pissing everyone off, etc.

    I believe it was about a specific movie DVD, maybe TLD? I mean for Pinesol Tux and I to talk about it it had to be Dalton :) But that was pre-most of the DVD sets, funny now, but man back in the days I had VHS sets, single DVDs and multiple DVD sets so this had to be before some of the sets?

    And well yeah Tux took my Pam avatar, I then took Pinesol's Dalton pic for fun and then Pinesol took my Clive, I believe I had already changed to Clive from a Pam avatar.

    I remember my first avatar was a picture of a double bourbon or something. I actually did save a much of avatars from KTBEU, I’ll just have to see if I kept them on some hard drive. The Daniel pic I’m currently using was definitely from the old forums, pre-CR.

    Yes, quite a few pictures were 'dedicated' to certain members. AFAK we had to choose from a certain set of pictures. There was no uploading of your own. For the life of me I can't remember which one I had though.
