    Bond will forever be challenged at the top spot but he'll regain it soon and we hope for a long time!

    agreed, but hopefully whilst DC is in the role? it will happen for the next 4 or 5 years?

    I love CR and GE, enjoy watching TND and QoS and can sit through TWINE better than half of the action movies out there today. DAD's obviously terrible, but with the excitement CR brought, and the news we've gotten so far with SF, I don't think this franchise is a 'zombie' at all.

    I agree, the PB era was a drop in quality regarding script and director and also cast IMO. There has been a upward turn with DC, there are many pluses with DC though i do feel he lacks in charm and charisma compared to some of the other bond actors, though he is good enough for now. P.s. i like GE and feel the movie gave the franchise a shot in the arm.

    DAD would have been more believable had Bond gone through the entire movie with that Jesus-beard he was sporting after the title sequence.

    Avatar's next films will be in 2014 it seems..... until then Bond will be at B24... besides if we look at Bond's box office inflation adjusted, it will take more than just 2 Avatar sequels to beat 007.... given how slow the films seem to be made, Avatar 3 will be in the late 2010's... Bond will have amassed another few $500 000 000 with B25 and B26... and Bond #7 will probably have debuted by the time Avatar 3 is in theaters.... so IMO it's not with 1 film every 5 years that Cameron will beat Bond.....

    I find that Bond has little in common with any other franchise except that folks seem to enjoy the franchises for their own reasons.

    I would not mind seeing a decent Tarzan series, a Saint series, a few more MI movies, the next Avatar, looking forward to Prometheus (part of the ALien series).

    ANd when I am sitting watching Prometheus in the cinema I will not be bothered to think about another franchise. I actually like the diversity of franchises and I will watch any that attract my interest.

    The best ones imho are:
    Tarzan series (Weismuller)
    Thin man series (Powell and Loy)
    The Falcon series (Sanders & Tom Conway)

    to name a few

    I wouldn't mind a sort of Zombie theme mission for Bond, I know such a thing seems doomed to failure, a sort of 28 days later James Bond thing where Craig goes up against the undead or something, just seemed like an interesting concept for a moment there. We did come close in a sense with Live and Let Die, a sort of supernatural element, voodoo etc and sort of vague subject matter and if they could enhance on that any time I for one would welcome it, but it seems unlikely
