A truly impressive top 005.
As one of the defenders of the Routemaster bus from LALD, I thought I’d explain why I voted for it. It didn’t dawn on me at first, but the way Bond utilities it, is wonderful. It’s a slow cumbersome vehicle. Yet with Bond at the wheel it becomes a weapon. Dispatching the helpless police on their bikes and cars. Skidding it, and finally ripping the top off, under a low bridge. Bond is certainly very inventive in how he avoids capture, and ultimately makes his escape via Quarrel juniors boat.
I think it’s a great piece of using his brains over using a gadget.
Have to agree with you completely @Benny, it would have been high up on my list as well, it’s possibly my favourite moment in LALD - although admittedly the film is filled full of memorable highlights for a Moore-fan like me. If it wasn’t for the presence of so many other iconic vehicles I’d have been voting for the bus as well.
