While incarcerated in Thailand, J.W. was taught by a Buddhist prisoner a relaxation technique of slowing his own heart rate. After he was released, J.W. reconnected with Bond and passed the technique onto him, which became handy 30 years later when Bond was imprisoned in North Korea.

Love it. His wisdom helps Bond many years later.

I must say we have nailed his speech down. I am reading these in the character voice of Pepper and it makes them even funnier. By the by!

Naaaaa, even Pepper would be too smart for that, after having been in contact with The Rest of the World™.

JW had, after his Thai experience, had enough of policing, expecting British agents to show up everywhere just to annoy the hell out of him.

So, back home he resigned and joined the family business, selling sheet music. The company had been founded by his great, great, great uncle, and is still thriving today.

Time to move on to another character. This one had few lines of dialogue but she featured in one of the more exciting Pre-Title Sequences. I am talking about "Air Hostess". She worked for Apollo Airlines and was known to carry a gun in her uniform. Our man enjoyed the leg of the journey but she thought it was too high.

The pilot, Bond and Jaws jumped out of the plane before her...whatever happened to ladies first???

Whatever happened to the Airline Hostess from MR? Did she continue to fly the un-friendly skies? Or leg it over for another job?

6 ft under (the airplane control panel shot to pieces so how could she land it ??).....then again there couldve been another parachute in the plane

She is seen with a parachute but we never see her jump. Did her legs not work? LOL!

She survived and went undercover as a circus clown.

While Bond was fighting the pilot, hostess went to grab another weapon in case she had to deal with Bond again. She opened the storage compartment to find a steel-tooth giant staring at her. As she gasped in horror, the stowaway backhanded her to the floor. Jaws acquired her parachute pack then pushed Bond out of the plane. Hostess regained consciousness mere seconds before the jet crashed.

imo Jaws was in cahoots with the woman and the parachuteless guy (how on earth he was able to hide is another matter :P

Jaws is in the cockpit with the pilot. You can see his leg and arm in the image attached.

Nice bit of detail there. You never stop learning, no matter how many times you've watched a given film.

I think since the Baddie shot the plane controls and all of them (Men) flew out of the plane, maybe she ended up in a plane crash or something.

Amid all the chaos and stunts, she used her parachute but it did not open. She crashed outside the circus tent, survived, but broke every bone in her body.

During her long recovery, she harbored a deep grudge toward Bond and determined to kill him. Her efforts were constantly thwarted. She stalked him outside the circus tent in Berlin but mistook him for another clown and later nearly got to him on a cable car in San Francisco where she was mistaken for one of Bond's other conquests and mobbed by the general public.

She finally found her revenge moment in 1986 when she tracked down Bond on his final mission in Czechoslovakia. Seducing him, she revealed her true identity and pulled out a deadly airline pin. Bond responded, "But we haven't joined the Mile High Club yet" with a raised eyebrow.

Still unable to resist Bond's charms many years later, she relented and lived out the rest of Bond's life with him in Monte Carlo.

    Licence-to-Kill-Felix-Leiter-David-Hedison-He-disagreed-with-something-that-ate-him-note.png

Lets move on to another character, one who died recently, but lived on in the original series. I am talking about the one and only Felix Leiter.

Last portrayed by David Hedison. Felix was last seen flirting with a nurse, joking with Bond as he was in a hospital bed. He had lost some limbs but seemed in good spirits for someone whose wife was killed and how was missing some limbs.

Not seen again since Craig's Bond and portrayed by a different actor. So lets focus on the OG Felix.

After the events of LTK, whatever happened to Felix Leiter? Did he stay on with the CIA? Or did he move on to Pinkertons like the Fleming Felix?

What say you Mi6 community? Whatever happened to the OG Felix?

He'd spent his last months in CIA working in office as a navigator in the special forces office in Local Department to track down foreign spies (this was long before GPS).

Then Felix Leiter retired in America and already claimed his retirement pay.

Not long after that though, Leiter recommended another man for the job (to replace him), Jack Wade and introduced him to Bond, so that's how Jack Wade and Bond met.

Then after that, in his final days (weeks before he died), Leiter, decided to give his money to a charity (the foundation who helps the family of those secret agents working abroad), as he had no beneficiaries who can inherit his money.

All right listen up all you creative members! I thought this one was an interesting discussion to our little whatever happened to game. Submitted by @SIS_HQ and seconded by me! :)

The character of James Bond had many screen adventures. From 1962 and Doctor No all the way up to 2002 and Gustav Graves. In all of these missions he survived to battle another day. But the last time we saw this iteration of the character was in Die Another Day.

So whatever happened to James Bond? The gentleman agent who thwarted many attempts of world domination. The man gifted with a knowledge of the finer things. The man who would seduce a woman and anger Q in a few seconds. The man who, while always driving his boss a bit crazy, was able to finish the mission.

I am asking the grand daddy of them all, whatever happened to James Bond?

To those new to this thread, we are speculating what happened to characters that survived the movie, or in this case movies.

It's the Classic Bond we're talking about here (1962 - 2002), he's last seen in DAD with Jinx.

    Whatever happened to him?

He was Jinxed to live forever, based on people’s memories and adventures with him.

Was Bond in North Korea or South Korea at the end with Jinx in the hut?

Based on some sources I've gathered, it's in South Korea, in a Buddhist Temple.

I always took it as China (since the producers don't take sides politically).

Expecting to confirm it in the novelization, which carries the intent of the script, I'm contradicted. Which to me compounds the bigger mistake of Bond and Jinx hooking up in what appears to be a Buddhist temple on screen.

    So South Korea it is.

Die Another Day, Raymond Benson, 2002.
Chapter 22 - Another Day of Life
Waves lapped the shoreline with an undulating rhythm
that was mesmerizing. Birds sang to each other some-
where in the distance and dusk had brought the elusive
orange and red colours out of the sky. It was the magic
time, the perfect denouement to the drama that had
unfolded over the last twenty-four hours.

James Bond and Jinx didn't take the wondrous
    beauty around them for granted.

They had arrived at a beach north-west of Inch'on
just in time for sunset, landed the Hermit, climbed out
and fallen onto the sand. After being so close to death,
the couple were now determined to reaffirm the joy of
being alive. Surrendering to the moment, they kissed
passionately s if there were no tomorrow.

Jinx pointed to a lone bamboo beach shack and
Bond nodded wordlessly. An hour later they lay on a
straw bed inside the hut, surrounded by the diamonds
    from the now empty container.
