Javier Bardem = Emilio Largo?

I was thinking -and I think a lot- that Javier Bardem could actually play an Emilio Largo-esque villain. It actually would make sense. He IS off course a main villain, but perhaps another, higher-in-rank villain could order him things (Ralph Fiennes' character). And as Javier is a mediterranean looking villain, he is actually perfect to play Emilio Largo. Moreover, in the novel Largo is actually Blofeld's closest colleague/ally.

I know, I know....perhaps it's farfetched.

His nationality in SKYFALL would probably be turkish. He also looks like one.

Fiennes' character has been described as darkly complex by rumors. I think it's safe to say he won't have a Blofeld-like role in Skyfall.

Safe to say? All I know is this. John Logan earlier this year: "Yes, James Bond always should fight Blofeld! ;-)"

And this. EON Productions HAS actually obtained the rights for the the names 'Blofeld' and 'SPECTRE'.

And the producers said during the press conference that 'Skyfall' has absolutely no link to the previous two Bond films. It will be a new, standalone film, set in the timeline that was created in 'Casino Royale'.

So now you say Fiennes' character has been described as darkly complex, thus NOT being Blofeld? How do you know? I mean, a new Blofeld could have been made dark and complex? Rewritten for the new era of Bond films in which Daniel Craig is 007.

I think at this point I have an edge. So I am confident enough to place a bet with you that Blofeld actually WILL return.

True, but even if Blofeld appears in the film, why should Fiennes play him? I think if Blofeld is in the movie, Bardem will be the actor to play him.

Since this thread has little hope of advancing more talk in the spirit of its title, I consider it wise if we were to continue the discussion here:
