I highly doubt people watch Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy for the potential Oscar winning acting

I'm not a fan of those either.

I also can't stand Adam Sandler or Jack Black.
If they are in a film I aint' gonna watch it.(Unless its a Bond film of course, but that's not going to happen.)

    Jack Black no.

Adam Sandler is odd. I enjoy about half of his movies. Some of them are just awful and my movie watching standards are as low as it gets. He's a super nice guy in person though.

Jack Black is not supposed to be nice, apparantly hard to work with.

I've heard the opposite of Jack Black. He helped clean up at a movie theater after he spilled his popcorn.

The reason I bought him up is that he is being looked at for a The Saint reboot. Also, he's the lead in Pixar's next original film Onward. I think Pixar can do better and be more original.

The Saint should be English ffs !!!
It was bad enough when Kilmer cocked it up.

I don't want Pratt as Simon Templar or Indiana Jones, TBH.

I was watching two of the best Coen Bros movies: The Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men. I liked Lebowski better because its humor hasn't really dated itself.

My controversial opinion is I could never stand Fargo. We're talking in Minnesota accents, aren't we amusing? Buscemi was the only thing that kept me interested.

I like that it's fast paced and short. Steve Buscemi's always great, even in Adam Sandler movies.

Well it makes sense since its Minnesota. A bunch of nose breathing New Yorkers wouldn't exactly fit

I love the accents in Fargo. 'Minnesota nice...!'

I've yet to find a Coen Bros. movie I don't like, and I think I've seen them all (except the recent Netflix thingy) at some time. The one I found least captivating and kind of grating was Burn After Reading. I may have to give it another chance, though. Most of them I find highly enjoyable, regardless of their subject matter - even the much-maligned The Ladykillers, though I much prefer the Ealing original.

My point is it's used as a source of great amusement and some are charmed but I just find it grating, and I'd think a few Minnesotans could be offended in it feeling like such a stereotype. Same as a few Canadians probably get annoyed by people thinking everybody says "eh."

It's a typical Coen Bros running joke. Hardly anything to get offended by. Personally i find it funny and endearing.

Jason Bourne (2016) shouldn't have been made. Ultimatum was a perfect ending.

For all the hype those films had in the 2000's, I don't hear many people talk about them as much now.

They definitely don't have as much re-watch value as Bond.

Or charm for that matter. I like them enough, but nowhere near Bond.

Even the least memorable Bond actors have more charm than Matt Damon, who only acts to promote his political career and opinions.

I take it this is your personal opinion not factual.

The four Damon Bourne movies are in my humble opinion quite decent and certainly a game-changer that inspired the 007 franchise. And unlike the 007 character it needed a everyman in the role and with Matt they delivered.

As for the political reason and motives of actors I would be in trouble with Cruise, Heston, Eastwood, Gibson to name a few. But I can enjoy the movie and not be troubled with the personal life of actors and actresses.

The Bourne series is trash. Every movie is the same: agents in computer rooms are trying to track down Bourne, who is always on the run. And how is anyone supposed to understand what is happening when Greengrass and his thugs keep shaking the camera? And then there’s that godawful hipster tune “Extreme Ways”. And Matt Damon looks like a woman.
