1. Actor – 9 Fascinating performance by Gert Frobe.
2. Sadism – 8 only on account of the laser, which is of course one of the most iconic moments in film history.
3. Villain’s Scheme - 8 allthough really 'out there', there's too many plot holes. And yes, I know it's an improvement on the book, but there thetalking to the hoodlums made sense, here it doesn't. So the plan is a bit too flawed.
4. Physically Menacing – 7 not that big, but his face does the trick. You somehow don't want to see this guy mad.
5. Dialogue – 10 too fascinating not to give it the full score. You're still waiting for him to come up with his remakrs even though you've seen the film so many times before!

I like nearly all Connery's villains but I think Goldfinger in particular set the standard for villains for a long time. If Blofeld isn't coming back I'd love a villain like that for Bond 25. A proper Flemingesque larger than life type.
