I am a big fan of David Lean though I don't recall ever watching this.

It's a wonderful movie. Laughton is marvellous in it! You will enjoy it!

Laughton is a great actor and director it's a shame he never directed more.

Well, I think I'm allowed to prefer the version with James Mason and Arlene Dahl. But that's just me.

    As for me :

    In my mailbox yesterday :

    81c2H6GZ2pL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Godzilla : Planet of the Monsters

    81-sifL-drL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Godzilla : City on the Edge of Battle

    91b4lPx2xuL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

    Godzilla : The Planet Eater

I must say that each of these Blu-Ray sets is beautiful : Two booklets, one being a sketchbook, the other a sort of making of, three cards, and an embossed cover.

    In my mailbox today :

Unfortunately, the jacket is not reversible.

Been meaning to get this release. I have the earlier Blu-ray from 2012, but I don't mind double dipping when it comes to Hammer Horror. This should be arriving next week.

    Austin Powers' favorite movie:

    4099flin.jpg

I already had the original DVD released in 2002 but I couldn't resist the option of having Mr. Flint's second spy adventure film with the option of the isolated score track for Jerry Goldsmith's unforgettable soundtrack.

Sidenote: interesting that Flint's journey into outer space in this film predates MR by 12 years and Star Wars by 10 years so the work of George Lucas didn't initially inspire the idea of sending a cinematic superspy into space.

It's definitely a Boxset I need to get hold of I have the majority of the other shows eg Superboy full series, Lois and Clark full series, SMALLVILLE full series. I will buy the Superman and Lois Boxset at some point.

George Reeves projected great confidence, I was pricing the four series up the other day on Amazon in Uk £40 a season on DVD bit pricy for me on that format.

We got some great shows in the UK back then on syndication.
