Two EON Bond cast members. Manning Redwood and Robert Rietty (voice of Tanaka).

This movie could desperately have used Ken Adam. The set in TB is so grand with all the double 00 agents in massive high backed chairs, huge ceiling room with tremendous hidden projection screen. This seems like a sub-standard board room at a middle of the road chain hotel.

It has a rather dated 80s feel no doubt, but that's part of its character now I feel.

Anthony Sharp, yes. He was also in Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.

Very cheesy and dated music, up there with Ladies First in cringe.

Basinger is out of her league imho.

Is she the only one to be both a Bond girl and a Batman girl? I think so.

Not only is she a lousy actress, she's a lousy dancer as well. Yet count how many times we're forced to watch her dance in one form or another.

It’s so true! I never liked her much either - in anything I’ve watched.

I've grown to appreciate Kim more. She's not too bad, really. Of course Claudine's Domino is my number one fave.

What's that weird noise after Bond says "Algernon."?

Menacing moments out of the blue like that "then I cut your throat" are some of the few moments where I find this Largo to be interesting.

Great Q branch scene. Obviously you can never supplant Q, but they did a damn good job with this scene. I like how they took the approach of Q branch's budget being slashed as oppose to the EON films where they seem to have an unlimited budget.

Kim and that title song are probably two of my bigger complaints of the film. Can't help but think I'd enjoy things even more with a totally different actress, she doesn't do a thing for me in this.

Maybe, but we've had a Bond Girl be a Superman Girl.
    Ah yes, Hatcher.

I quite like this Q. He's no Llewelyn, but he'll do.

That "gratuitous sex and violence" exchange is great.

"...and that's why you shouted my name across the harbor?"

@FoxRox, I might be inclined to agree, the comedy is very well done in this one.

Leon looks very different here. Atkinson overdoes it, but he's funny.

Rowan Atkinson is always a gem, wish he had a bit more screen time here.

It took me years to realise it was Leon in NSNA, though the wig and Tan disguise her a bit

What a bod! That distance shot girl isn't Carrera.

Connery is darn smooth here, although this scene reminds me of the Jinx intro.

Connery's in much better shape in this than he was in DAF.
