The Siskel and Ebert review of Op played this fight in it's entirety.

One of Moore's best fight scenes.

Quick poll... of the 7 Moore film's where do you rank out of 7 the following:

Bond Villain - Kamal Khan: 2nd (Behind Drax)
Bond Girl - Octopussy: 3rd (Behind Solitaire and Anya for me)
Henchmen - Gobinda: 7th (though to be fair Moore had the best henchmen)

S&E are way too in love with Connery, didn't they rate NSNA much more positively than OP?

    That's Mufti.

Right. Per the wiki, we don't see him again afterwards. What a waste of a character slot.

Villain? Kamal's 4th behind Drax, Zorin and Scaramanga. I think I prefer him to Kananga in all honesty.

Girl - Octopussy's behind Dr Goodhead and Melina for me. So 3rd like you.

Henchman - Gobinda's tied 5th with Erich Kriegler. Preferred them over Scarpine.

Mischka trying to pick up chicks at a bar...

"So what is it you do for a living?"
"Eh I throw knives at my brother."

Siskel liked OP which is rare since he didn't care for Roger. He loved Maud Adams, though. Ebert felt OP was too formulaic, but would praise GE for the same reasons later. They both liked NSNA.

I wonder if any of those actresses still have their white Octopussy Circus hoodie.

The only ungentlemanly scene from Moore. No clapping at the circus!

Rog is an audience member in quite a few films. Kickboxing match in TMWTGG, Pyramids show in TSWLM, Quail hunting in MR, Biathlon and ice skating practice in FYEO, Circus attendee in OP, Horseracing in AVTAK.

Yes! I am always a sucker for a train scene.

My favorite scene is Bond confronting Orlov, and then shooting those three soviet soldiers so efficiently. The death of Grischka is pretty great too.

I liked Moore dropping the cannon on Mischka (Grishchka's death is even better). Moore had more of these "ingenious" kills later on in the series. Always liked them.

That shot to the head on the guard that walks in on Orlov and Bond is so brutal. Rare in the Bond series to see a bullet hole with blood to the head that visible.

And the guy's stunned expression could give a five year old nightmares.

This scene with Moore in the car is short but is some very fine action. You know how far the stuntwork's come in the Bond series when putting a car on two wheels was the "highlight" stunt for DAF and yet it's casually thrown into OP.

The segment of the film with the trains is some really good action and my favourite part of the film. Great blend of spying and action — good stuntwork, high stakes and tension.

Would have been a good spot to have "Man with bottle" Victor Tourjansky, but FYEO was his last. I wonder if he's still around.

That could have been a classic Victor Tourjansky moment!

Seriously, he seemed to almost have a smile on his face before the look of shock and instant death. Poor guy may not have even wanted to be in league with Orlov!

That shot was always cut on the ABC network.
