Second favourite theory?!

In talking to friends when asking about their favourite two or three Bond films inevitably their number is a classic but number two or three is generally regarded as a weaker entry in the series. When asked why have that one rated so high the answer is always the same it was the first one I saw and I love it. This plays out for me. OHMSS is my favourite but DAF my second favourite. Most people rate DAF low but I love it. Why? It was the first one I saw! Does this theory work for you?
