Does anyone know if the Moore-Bond fanboys are always on call because they got here pretty quickly and are tying me up as we speak for my treachery. Oh, how original is this. They all have golden guns and have Moore face masks on.........Wish me luck. I gave the Connery-Bond fanboys a call to help rescue me and I hear they all wear kilts and bagpipes that double as guns. Should be interesting...

Moore)-I would put Moore in TB or any Connery Bond films for that matter(except YOLT or DAF, so he could be in a GOOD Bond film. Sorry for the low blow Moore fans, but my Bond must be cold and calculating. Moore is great besides. Oh crap! I can hear the mob outside my home as we speak!
Yes, the Moore crowd are currently on the way to give you a big bollocking... I will be there with tea and biscuits and sorts things out for you... No-one defeats the Moore crowd I'm afraid...

Read my post after that @DC007. It got hairy, but I'm glad Connery's fanboys are faster to the call, and the Moore fanboys, like Moore's Bond can't fight. I'm now sitting with Connery himself, in a kilt, getting hammered on Guinness. Should be a great night. :-D
  • Lazenby in DAF is the biggest missed opportunity in franchise history bar none, particularly if Hunt had stayed on to direct. I'd also like to suggest Lazenby in TMWTGG-- made entirely seriously, the far eastern setting coupled with Lazer's martial arts prowess could have made for a very solid flick. And if they'd made it in 1973 they could have cast Bruce Lee as the villain...oh to dream.

    Connery in GoldenEye:

M: "I think you're a sexist, misogynist dinosaur. A relic of the Cold War, whose boyish charms, though wasted on me, obviously appealed to that young wom.....

    (Connery slaps M)

    Connery: "B***h!"

(Connery walks out of M's office)

Connery (to Tanner): "She should have kept her mouth shut".

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    Lazenby in Casino Royale

(Lazenby pulls Vesper out of the water)

Lazenby: "There's no hurry you see, we have all the time in the world".

    (Lazenby walks away)

Lazenby: "The b***h is dead. G*****n it, not again!

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Moore in Dr. No

Sylvia: "And I admire your luck Mr....

Moore: "Templar. Simon Templar. Oh dear, I goofed the very first line".

    Honey: "Rider. Honey Rider".

Moore: "Well, there's no point in going off half cocked."

(After Dr No crushes the cup with his mechanical hand)

Moore: "Big deal. I know a seven foot man who could have crushed that with his teeth".

    Part 2

Timothy Dalton in Live and Let Die

Dalton (to the writers): "Piss off. I'm not deflowering Jane Seymour and I'm setting Kananga on fire.

(After Bond tears off Tee Hee's mechanical arm)

    Dalton: "A farewell to arms".

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    Pierce Brosnan in Thunderball

(After Fiona is shot, Pierce sets her down at the table. Pierce then kisses and makes out with Fiona much to the discomfort of the people at the table)

    Brosnan: "No more foreplay?"

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Daniel Craig in Moonraker

Craig: "Balls, Q. Scratch them or die".

Craig (to Lewis Gilbert): "I said you're a bloody idiot".

M: "Welcome back to Earth Bond".

    Craig: "I never left".

Timothy Dalton in The Man with the Golden Gun
With some of the harder-edged qualities of TMWTGG, and Francisco Scaramanga, it would seem that Dalton could have pulled it off quite nicely! Just take out the silly ridiculous humor and it would be a perfect fit for Timothy Dalton.
I would have liked Dalton against Scaramanga in the showdown on his island. That's a nice fantasy!

That's not a bad scenario @00Beast. Timbo could've been excellent against a darker toned TMWTGG. Would work with his 'dangerous' Bond.
I wonder how TLD would've been with Brosnan? I think it would've worked, but not be seen as a Bondian classic that many fans seem to regard it as. Dalton really was the magic in that film (imo). An outstanding debut on par with Connery and Craig.

@Benny: Brosnan in The Living Daylights could have been nice! His Bond would have worked well against Georgi Koskov and Brad Whitaker.

    Moore in QOS:

M: No... I think you're so blinded by inconsolable rage that you don't care who you hurt. When you can't tell your friends from your enemies, it's time to go.
Bond: A little premature, isn't it?

    Moore in CR:

M: [as Solange's dead body is carried away] I would ask you if you could remain emotionally detached, but that's not your problem, is it, Bond?
Bond: I'm just keeping the British end up, madam!

    Connery in Octopushy.

    That was the joke.

What Connery would have done in the films he wasn't in.

OHMSS - Slaps Diana Rigg for eating garlic.
LALD - Slaps Kananga for slapping Solitaire. "Ifsh anyone here shis going to shlap that young ladysh, itsh going tosh be me".
TMWTGG - Slaps Andrea because Roger was too gentle with her.
TSWLM - Slaps Jaws and breaks his hand. Slaps Anya in the van to set it straight.
MR - Slaps Holly in space and notices how the lack of gravity gives his slaps more impact.
FYEO - Slaps Bibi, who then screams "child abuse". Connery runs off.
OP - Slaps Magda for not offering her ovulating eggs for the Fabrege egg.
AVTAK - Slaps May Day with her dildo yelling "Thats'h for Roger bitcsh". (You'll understand this if you have read Moore's biography.)
TLD - Slaps Kara for running back to get her cello.
LTK - Slaps Sanchez for not properly slapping Lupe. Then demonstrates by slapping Lupe.
GE - Slaps Xenia, who loves it.
TND - Slaps Paris back. Tries to slap Wai Lin, but is overwhelmed by Wai Lin's martial arts skills.
TWINE - Slaps Elektra after Zukovsky shoots the manacle free.
DAD - Slaps everyone involved with the film. Twice.
CR - Slaps Vesper for not spotting him the five million.
QOS - Slaps Camille for not making out with him.

    Those could work very well.

    Connery in TWINE
Only if Connery was allowed to treat Elektra like he treated Miss Taro and Fiona Volpe.

I apologize unreservedly but I vividly remember participating in an identical thread to this a few months ago, can't be this one as I have yet to submit an answer before now

I.e. put a James Bond actor into a different Bond film etc, which is basically indistinguishable from what we have here

Maybe I'm just getting too into these damn duplicate thread things, I mean at the end of the day there's no harm done really

In any event, one for each Bond off the top of my head as before

    Connery in Moonraker
Moore in From Russia With Love
    Lazenby in License to Kill
    Dalton in Tomorrow Never Dies
Brosnan in On Her Majestys Secret Service
Craig in A View to a Kill

might as well get some humor out of this

Roger Moore in OHMSS, would tie up nicely the references to Tracy in TSWLM and FYEO and what the hell throw him into LTK for another marriage refrence, an older Bond on his last mission goes rouge to avenge his old mate Felix.

Timbo in NSNA would be one way of getting him another gig as Bond.

Tim in NSNA 2 (1997) would have been nice. Or Pierce in NSNA 3 (2008).
    Otherwise Moore in YOLT.

@Baltimore_007 I like the idea of Dalton in TND. I'd have to make a few changes to the cast though:

    - Anthony Hopkins as Harmsway (Carver)
    - Sela Ward as Paris
    - David Warner as M
    - Bliss as Moneypenny
    - Sylvester McCoy as Q
    - Nigel Davenport as the Minister Of Defense

    That would have been class.

    Otherwise Moore in YOLT.

I think they did that and called it TSWLM.

Here is a real third Dalton Bond film:

Craig to The World Is Not Enough: want to see his night escaping from Elektra.
Craig (or Dalton) to GoldenEye. Would see better train chase (you an kill her).
Connery to OHMSS. Lazenby just pollutes all the film.
Dalton to Octopussy. All the film need(s) it, to replace old Moore.
    Noone to AVTAK ( :) ) . Wrong script.
Craig to DAD . Brosnan is not old, but not as Bond. Craig would be better. (Why producers couldn't use Craig ten years ago?!! (don't think I'm Lazenby fan)).

    1. Daniel Craig in OHMSS
    2. Sean Connery in TMWTGG
    3. Roger Moore in DAF
    4. Pierce Brosnan in LALD
    5. Timothy Dalton in GE
    6. George Lazenby in AVTAK

    1. Roger Moore in Licence to Kill: He showed in his serious moments that he could handle them well. It would be interesting to see him in a serious, more hard-edge film like LTK. It would even make the drama of the film a bit more heightened considering the light-hearted approach his Bond usually took.

    2. Sean Connery in On Her Majesty's Secret Service: For obvious reasons, I think. Having a solid actor in the role for that film, and an established Bond actor to boot, would have made the film much better than it already was in spite of Lazenby's shortcomings as an actor.

    3. Timothy Dalton in GoldenEye: Dalton deserved a third film, and he would have done brilliantly in this one.

Pierce Brosnan- Casino Royale outside of the fight scenes inthink that film was still more for his Bond Style.
The train scene with Vesper and the Shower scene were more Pierce type of Bond.

Sean Connery - On her Majesty 's secret service it would have been interesting a more romantic Connery im sure it would have been something really new for all audiences.
We know Connery's though side, his womanizing skills, his charming and seducing side but never his more sweet and romantic side of Bond
