Blofeld doesn't throw that Luds,it's just one of his scientists who gets shot for his troubles !!
Right, I didn't think about the scene enough before typing ;)

@DarthDimi, I think he's talking about GE with Natalya. She says something like:

"Are there any other standard operating procedures I should know about?"

Bond: "Thousands. But I only pay them lip service."
I actually like that line :"> Never had any problems either with it or Brosnan's delivery. Natalya is also sexy as hell in that scene.

@BAIN123, yes, she is. Even on the beach later on, when she's in that loose-fitting dress that's blowing in the wind? Man.

    Dalton and Kara - sweet.

    Brosnan and Natalya - sexy.

That's the way I see it anyway ;)

    And Brosnan and Xenia? Haha.

    Sexy ;)

"I like a woman who enjoys pulling rank"

    I like that line too.

    There we go. ;-)

"Well, I've had a lovely evening. You?"
"Once again, Mr. Bond, the pleasure was all yours."
    "You'll understand if I don't call."

I like the snide, mocking tone Brosnan has in that sequence.

So do I, it's brilliant. Just seeing how bitter she is and he's just toying with her.

Too much Brosnan love here, it's gonna end in tears sooner or later...

Never! This love is going nowhere. I'll defend it to the death...provided we keep DAD out of this. Even that, I can't defend.
  • I'm sure we all have are favs. SC's had the best lines - because he was the only one doing them at the time. After him they became a cliche or pastiche on the lines he delivered.

For me my fav SC line is in Goldfinger and the radio announcer: 'blah blah he was entirely Satisfied....Bond: that makes two of us...'

But the best line of the whole series and it won't ever be beaten because of the back history and the state of Bond films at the time was GL's:

'This never happened to the other fella'

DAD may be the worst movie, but TWINE is the most appalling performance ;)

Haha, why thank you, @Luds. Much appreciated! I don't really see much of the TWINE hate. Sure, if I could change up the script a little bit, I would, but most of it worked for me.

TWINE isn't great but for me is decent enough.

Not quite... DAD is far from being the worse, while TWINE is just bland, wish-wash melodramatic rubbish. Tamahori's colorful filmmaking puts DAD lightyears ahead of TWINE's utterly bland, dull, colourless, cold, pathetic cinematography... DAD is even TRILLION OF MILES ahead of GE on the cinematography department.

Thank God. It pains me to read all of the Brosnan stomping, :-(

It's not necessarily a one-liner, but when Magda shows Bond her tattoo and says "That's my little Octopussy.", I love the immediate look on Bond's face.

    Just too hilarious for words...

I like when Bond waves Xenia on after the PTS in GE with a smile and a "Ladies first."

I'm quite enjoying a return to normal, with more Brosnan bashing, but this thread has derailed a tad bit. Let's get back on topic fellas.

He disagreed with something that ate him ;)

@Luds, aren't we still on topic, listing good one-liners? I know I just did.

Here's another fantastic Pierce Brosnan line from The World is not Enough:
"I see you put your money where your mouth is."
I love the little grin he gives Mr. Bullion after saying that.

"and they say communists don't know how to have fun"

@00Beast, so do I, just pointing his Walther in his direction as he speaks it is great.

"Davidov? He caught a bullet...instead of a plane."
@Creasy47: Yeah, he does that Walther point several times in TWINE. Another is when he points directly at Zukovsky and says, "We need to talk." Man, if I was Zukovsky, I'd be deathly afraid!

Here are two other great one-liners from TWINE that make me laugh every time:

Cigar Girl: "Would you like to check my figures?"
Bond: "Oh, I'm sure they're perfectly rounded."

Renard's thug: "Where is Davidov? I was told to expect him."
Bond: "Uh...he was, uh, buried with work."

I love Brosnan's grin when he says "buried with work."

Oh, man, I forgot about his point to Zukovsky. Love it.

My favorite line in TWINE has to be:

Bond (while applying the suppressor): "I usually hate killing an unarmed man. Cold-blooded murder is a filthy business."
@Creasy47: Yes, that one is gold! Especially the way he twists his silencer on the Walther extremely fast while he's saying it.

@00Beast, exactly, like he isn't wasting time. He's taking Renard out, stopping the bomb, and letting nothing stand in his way.

Watching AVTAK right now, love Bond's patronization of Tibbett.

What a sharp little eyes you have
-Wait till you get to my teeth

    Shocking. Positively shocking...

I think they were on their way to a funeral

That's a nice little nothing you're almost wearing

    Right idea, Mr. Bond
    - But wrong pussy

    I'm Pussy Galore
    - I must be in heaven
