@Kananga, how many Skyfall videoblogs are?

I've not counted them but all the ones on the 007.com website are on the disc.

Including the one from yesterday, with Naomie and Bérénice?

    the BR has

    Skyfall Videoblogs;

    1. Skyfall behind the scenes
    2. Sam Mendes
    3. Naomie Harris
    4. Berenice Marloe
    5. Update From Shanghai
    6. Dennis Gassner
    7. Jany Temme Dressing 007.

Bonus disc menu music is the taken from TWINE Boat chase.

And Being Bond is only about 3 mins long. What a let down. **EDIT** it's 3 mins 08 secs.

@Kananga are you able to answer whether GoldenEye and A View To A Kill are no longer cropped? And has the later's deliberately shaky shot been put back in?

It's the shot when Bond boards the snowmobile which get shot at in the PTS. It was always deliberately shaky, until the 'restoration' for the UE DVD releases 'fixed' it.

The Blu-Ray menus are the same as the UE 2006 dvd's and the first releases of blu-rays.

    You mean like this?

Now that's a bit depressing... Couldn't they make new menu screens? It's the 50th anniversary for God's sake...

Yep. sames one only the bonus Blu-Ray has a Gold tint effect to it all.

Wow , i didnt see that coming, they couldnt be othered, so they took an old menu and put a gold tint to it lol. oh well, how about the quality of the films. do they all look good in hd, How are the trasnfers of the pierce brosnan films??

    I will check this out.

TLD is now a 12. and TND has been put back to a 12 (UE DVD was a 15)

From what i've seen on the Being bond the interviews are taken from the 'Inside' - Making of. and the footage of Timothy from 1986/7 has been stretched to widescreen and looks really nasty.

Its the quality of the films that are most important. Are they all great quality.

Are you from the UK? If so, is Diamonds Are Forever a 12 and Casino Royale a 15?

Thanks for looking into my query.

What's the difference, and is this a regional issue, with PAL format only?

Great. Thank you. It was very heavy on that film so should be easy to notice when compared to one of the earlier UE DVDs.

Are the subtitles part of the film once again, as they appear in the cinema? 'Burned-in' I think is the term.
  • So far I haven't seen any reviews of the boxset on any websites so I am going to have to ask the lucky few who have already recieved their copies a few questions.
What are the transfers for OHMSS and TSWLM like?
Is the CR disc the exact same disc that was released the 1st time around or is it new. Does this disc have a 5.1 PCM uncompressed, Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD master audio soundtrack?
    Thanks in advance...

I am gonna purchase mine the old fashioned way! Which means taking a long walk and paying over the counter! Not done that in years when it comes to Bond!

Hi, I am yet to check CR but I guess it's the same as the old release just with updated disc art to match the rest of the films in the boxset.

The latest two films should have matching menus with the rest now. That would be the only change I could think of.

Good. It seems things have been sorted out from the UE DVDs six years ago.

What's interesting about those comparisons, is the colors are actually changed slightly. If you look at image 2, the UE version has a more yellow hue to it, almost a glow. The BD version is much cleaner, and cooler in tone. I've always thought there was something strange; almost off about the cinematography in TSWLM and I think it had to do with the colors. These restorations could transform Spy.

Haaa, in that first image it looks like a younger daniel craig sat their.

Kanaga are you deliberately trying to make me go postal?

If this is true (and why would Kanaga lie?) EON are an absolute f**king disgrace.

Being Bond is sold in the advertising as being some stunning exclusive involving all the Bond actors not a 3 minute interview with Daniel f**king Craig.

Babs and MGW if you are reading this (as I'm sure youre not as you have shown you don't give a flying f**k about the fans) that sound you can here is Cubby rolling in his grave as you shaft all the loyal fans he built up over the years with this pathetic box set.

CR has a matching menu with the first 20 films but QoS has the same menu as the 2009 DVD and trailers for other films before the menu one of them being The Day The Earth Stood Still.

    Thanks for the info, @Kananga.

I'm glad about CR, not so much about QOS. Well, at least it was a pretty damn cool menu!

It is a real let down, no effort to make at least a 30 min documentary.

And your right Cubby would be rolling in his grave....yet again.

I do like the QoS menu more effort went in to it then the movie!

    And here it is....everything

So they haven't even gone to the effort of making it a matching set? Just slung in the same piss poor QOS disc that was originally released?

    Seriously EON just f**k off.
