^^^ Incredibly jealous. Would love to get my hands on the MI6 bottle, but apparently they won't be for sale. :(
Only 100 though, so I likely wouldn't be able to afford it anyways :D
Product placement is just how these things get funded, it seems. Additionally, Fleming mentioned specific brands way back when he wrote Casino Royale, and beyond, thus the products he uses are a large part of the character. Of course there's the question, "What would Bond *actually* use/eat/drink vs. Who paid the most?" :P

I always used to think Bond might have used Rimowa aluminium suitcases. They are much more distinctive than the leather ones of the 1950s o 60s or the Samsonite army you see today.

Omega has unveiled it's new Aqua Terra, Bond's new watch, to feature in the upcoming 007 adventure, SPECTRE. One of the nicest watches I've ever seen.

  • When time has passed and the leaks can be discussed, there will be "funny things" to say publicly about the product placement. In the leaks, there is some comments about what some persons very important to the Bond franchise think about the products they have to place in the movie :)

Beautiful Aqua Terra; love the texture pattern on the face and matching insignia on the second hand. Still prefer the Planet Oceans, although I suppose I'm in the minority there. :P
  • No you're not @NickTwentyTwo. I've got the PO from Casino Royale with rubber band and stainless steel straps and still love it to this day. The AT is a fine looking watch but I wouldn't swap it for my PO.

I must say I'm surprised they are going with the AT rather than the PO or the new 300 Master Coaxial.

I recently purchased a used PO 2500 (like the one used by DC in QoS) and think it's a work of art - perfect for a man of action.

The AT seems a little on the dressy side, but maybe there will be two watches, like in SF.
  • Agreed @bondjames. I also have the Seamaster from Goldeneye which I would wear for more formal occasions.

more on the new Aqua Terra ;)

A noter également l’inscription « > 15’007 GAUSS » décalquée jaune.

Heineken will be back as well. Soon Bond will develop a beer gut.

You guys need to man up and buy a 1953 Rolex Oyster Perpetual.
It's the only watch that Bond ever wore!

I just spoke with a few Omega retailers. They told me that they believe there is in fact another Bond Omega watch for SP. They are not aware of the model but apparently it will be announced at Baselworld 2015 (The annual swiss watch fair).

I'm not sure whether this is true or not, but it does make sense.

I really was surprised that Omega would be trotting out the old AT shell as above (even with a 15,000 Antimagnetic Gauss movement) for SP when the basic design has been in production for almost 5 years now.

It is more likely that a new watch face & design is coming. So there are likely to be 2 watches as I suspected, the one above and another, yet to be announced model!

That is what I'm thinking @NickTwentyTwo. It is more likely a refinement of that design but using that basic case. It would make sense, because this is the only new Omega sport watch case that has come out in years - so Omega would be foolish not to give it product placement in Bond.

Agreed, @bondjames. Although I'm afraid I'm a bigger fan of previous years' Planet Oceans, such as the Skyfall model, which have subtle but, IMO, discerning differences.
