Each clip from the interview is roughly 2 minutes long...

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - Composing for Bond

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - The James Bond Theme

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - Daniel Craig's Progression

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - Goldfinger & Nobody Does it Better

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - You Know My Name

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - On Her Majesty's Secret Service

The Music of James Bond with David Arnold and Mark Kermode - No Time To Die

Arnold really does get into the psychology of the themes.

He articulates very well how he constructs his themes I only found this interview today whilst looking through Scala Radio past content.

Looks like Mr Arnold is doing a tour of his songs with a six piece band, if you fancy catching him. He's a very good singer, in fact.

I wanted to ask this question for a long time. David Arnold is now 62. He's been away from Bond for 16 years. How would we feel about him returning to score the full set of the next actor's films?

I'd be on board for Arnold returning. He may not be around much these days but he still has it.

He's welcome. Believe he scored this in 2021.

I love his work and I was pining for him for a while when Newman came along, but I think Bond generally is in real need of some new creative blood. The Craig era did start to feel a bit samey and played out in some ways by the end, but I don’t agree with the sentiment on here that this means it’s time to go back to what they were doing before. I think it means it’s time for something new again.

There might be someone even better than Arnold out there, who knows. I’d really like the next one to feel like a whole new direction and I reckon they need as many fresh eyes on it as possible for that.

Yes, move on. I think I'd actually be disappointed if they persuaded him to do another. I'm not convinced he would: he has said that the lack of big film scores on his recent CV is not because he hasn't been asked.

The excellent Tom Mason restored the original version of Arnold's BMW music to these clips from TND, lots of fun.

And here's Arnold himself giving us an update on I Will Return from DAD :D

    Thanks for sharing.

"I will return" returning for Bond 26 along with Arnold himself would be quite fun and very meta :p

Speaking of “I will return” I got to meet the man himself yesterday and filmed a mini interview. Excuse the sound quality.

He talks in detail about I Will Return and what it would’ve been about as a song including the lyrics.

Amazing you had the opportunity and shared it @00Dalton nice.

As an American I could use a transcript to understand though. Second half easier to get.

A great little video showing how Another Way To Die was integrated into the score to Quantum of Solace:
