  • There's a few series on Netflix pretty suitable for summer: Fauda and Queen Sono come to my mind. Fauda is by far the best series I've seen in a long while, but Queen Sono is enjoyable and of course has that African feel.

  • Because this is not merely a Mozart/opera thread (as much as I'm often tempted to turn it into one, because of my own preferences and bias), here is Smetlava's Vltava (The Moldau).
  • Here's an idea I've had for a while. Was considering writing a fanfic story set between QOS and SF, but it could work as a new story for a new Bond. Freely/heavily inspired by DN and MR. -Colonel Pardaleos (real name unknown) is the reclusive, sh…

  • SP, without hesitation. You might as well ask me if I'd rather watch Eyes Wide Shut or Porky's Revenge.
  • This thread is reminding me that I really to check my stocks. I've got Yorkshire tea, M&S everyday tea, but I doubt I have any lose leaf tea left. No rooibos for the evening. This is bad. Oh and anyone has a favourite tea mug or teacup? I do.

  • Tahiti Trot (Tea for Two), Shostakovich: I might put it in the classical thread too. Doris Day singing it: Who said tea was stuffy?

  • I tend to watch spaghetti westerns and westerns, and sea adventures, like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. As a kid, I enjoyed Ray Harruhausen films during summertime particularly Clash of the Titans and Jason and the Argonauts. Things that had a summ…

  • I mostly buy teabags, but I find loose leaf tea to taste so much better on general, although it's really a pain to clean up.

  • I'll go for FYEO. Moore is far more comfortable as an ageing Bond than Dalton was as well, Bond, and the villain is better. FYEO is more of a classic spy film as well.

  • Off topic, but I always found Carver to lack menace, but to be fun to watch. And I love him mocking Way Lin with his kung fu antics, although I'm conscious it gives him a disservice. Yes, that doesn't make him one bit scarier. But since I'm no big f…
