  • When you have a cream tea, you really, truly, absolutely don't need sugar: you have enough with the cakes, scones and what have you. Not that I think you need sugar in tea to begin with.

  • I'm simpler: pour boiling water into tea, preferably loose leaf tea. Keep it for two or three minutes, depending of its brew and strength. Drink. On a side note, all these mentions of chemicals in teabags are really putting me off. So I might buy…

  • Nostalgic moment here: when I was a child, I used to spend a lot of my summer evenings watching sea life documentaries in the basement, especially during heatwaves. It was the only place I could be cool.

  • Dragonpol wrote: » TSWLM is the epitome of the Bond summer blockbuster of old. MR is too in my opinion. I associate MR with the end of winter, because the first time I watched it I was sick and it was in February. But I can see why it could…

  • I put this by mistake in another thread. To show that Vivaldi didn't only compose the Four Seasons:
  • MaxCasino wrote: » It saddens me that Anthony Burgess never got to publish a Bond novel. TSWLM treatment or original. He clearly had the imagination for it. IFP hiring him would have been a unique but safe choice. He sort of did with Tremor…

  • Because Vivaldi didn't only do the Fourth Seasons:

  • You should have seen our house a year after we moved in. We still have unpacked boxes. No but strong, Bond is seldom there, he's constantly on missions and he's had to refurbish everything after his "death". On a side note, that's my favorite incar…
  • A darn shame because Burgess has nothing to do with Austin. They should be repatriated to Manchester.

  • There's a few series on Netflix pretty suitable for summer: Fauda and Queen Sono come to my mind. Fauda is by far the best series I've seen in a long while, but Queen Sono is enjoyable and of course has that African feel.
