  • Rewatched the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy all night long. Such a fun and epic series. My order of preference goes 1>2>3, but I really do enjoy them all. I do my best to pretend the horrendous fourth and fifth films don’t exist.
  • Birdleson wrote: » So far as studio albums, TOMMY, QUADROPHINA and WHO BY NUMBERS are also a must. I'd also add MEATY, BEATY, BIG AND BOUNCY (an early collection of singles), ODDS 'N' SODS (a superb '70s collection of unreleased outtakes) and LIVE…

  • Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Loved it! Lots of drama and ultimately satisfaction.

  • https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/paj3dv/enough-with-the-batman-movies-already-robert-pattinson I agree with much of this article. Not necessarily saying I'd never want to see a new Batman movie ever again, but I wish it would take a long break …

  • Being on a Zeppelin kick lately, got to share another absolute favorite:
  • I’m guessing it’s Norway again.
  • Resurrection wrote: » So by reading this article it's confirmed that they actually shot a party scene there, it wasn't a wrap up party. Very nice! I loved that club picture Fukunaga shared.

  • @Birdleson Thanks! Led Zeppelin is one of my favorites :) I was curious - what are some of your favorite bands/artists?

  • I’m not 100% saying Pattinson will be a bad Bruce Wayne/Batman, because no one knows for certain, but unlike Keaton I haven’t seen any performances from him that I’ve liked. Also, I didn’t care for Affleck’s Bruce/Batman whatsoever. IMO he brought n…

  • I’ve got to get on board and rewatch the first movie and then see the sequels. I remember liking the first okay but don’t remember it too well. The sequels look really good too.

  • I think Batman Returns is awesome, and one of the very best comic-book sequels out there. I am biased because I love Tim Burton's early-middle filmography, and I think blending his signature style with Batman was just awesome. Batman '89 is my perso…

  • Too bad. Not surprised after how the first couple games went though. No matter what now I know for sure I’m rooting for the Western Conference to win it all.

  • Sunshine (2007). Awesome film! Decided after Trainspotting to go through Boyle’s filmography. Going in a random order, so far watched both Trainspotting films (love the first, like the second), Sunshine (great), Shallow Grave (decent), and The Beach…
  • Of course, Michael Keaton silenced all the naysayers back in his day, but that was quite the exception. IMO to date Keaton is still the best live-action Bruce and Batman. Bale’s was decent, but he did have the dumb Batman voice in his second and thi…

  • Though I’m rooting for the Sharks to advance and can’t stand the Blues, the refs clearly botched allowing that last goal to count last night. Ridiculous that hand passes aren’t reviewable.
  • Getting into The Cars for the first time. Can relate to this tune so much.
  • School of Rock (2003). A surprisingly great movie - and an awesome love letter to rock music.
  • It does seem suspicious given The Sun’s track record, but it’s not a stretch to imagine given all the injuries that have happened before. I’m hopeful either there’s no injury at all or it’s minor.
