    We can only assume she suggested the blue swim trunks, and it is absolute fact that she pops in CR with only the intention to watch, rewind, and rewatch that scene over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. We can also guarantee she wants to know what he can do with his little finger more than even Vesper herself. :>

    Probably. She still looks good and is in her fifties I believe.

    I'm gonna agree with 007RM. Even today, she's still quite attractive and dare I say it... foxy. Can I say foxy in 2012, or does it make me sound to old fashioned?

    Agree.

    I've met her 3/4 times and she's a stunning lady still. Very charming and polite too. Whenever I next see her I will ask her when she is going to make a cameo like MGW!

    I would not mind a date with her today, she is well worth looking at. She could have made a more than decent Bond woman.

    The ladies from the last two movies did not impress me, except Murano that is.

    Agree! She could easily cameo in a Bond movie! Perhaps in a casino or restaurant sequence? She has certainly earned it that's for sure!

    Indeed.

    But we would have lost Eric Serra, the closest any non-Barry composers have got to Barry's musical perfection.

    Indeed. And both GE and the series as a whole would have been far better as a result.

    Of course he could have done it. But I am a fan of Serra´s score (at least parts of it) and I have defended it alot in another forum. I especially like "GE Overture", "Run, Shoot And Jump" and "Fatal Weakness". I think his music contributed to the dark atmosphere in the movie, and sometimes when I listen to the score I feel like I´m 8 again, experiencing the, what I though at the time, coolest movie ever. And there are certain sounds in his score that instantly scream GE. But the car chase musicis a little weird.

    Any musical composer would've done a better job than Serra. I often wonder what GE would've been like if it actually had a Bondian score. Im sure Barry would've cranked out another amazing score like he always did.

    I make no secret of the fact I didn't like Serra's work in Goldeneye, the awful 'experience of love' at the end, well I usually switch off before it even gets a chance to appear, but Yes, Barry could still have contributed greatly to that years release, would of been an improvement on what we got, doubtless

    I think Serra could have had a very good run. He definitely brought his own sound, and one of the main things I can recognize from that film is the sounds! It definitely seemed to fit the film.

    I would of loved another Barry, but I also enjoyed Serra and wish Eon had the balls to keep him.

    I'm of two minds on the subject. On the one hand you're unlikely ever to find a more dedicated Barry fan than me so naturally I'd be all for another Barry score. However, the cold, thunderous, pulsating and electronic sounds that Serra brought to GE, which is something Barry would never have done, created the perfect mood for the technothriller that GE more or less is.

    One thing I think should have happened is to have Barry polish Arnold's score for TND. I really enjoy bits and pieces of the TND score but in some place Arnold lost control of his orchestration. Right there, Barry could have served as a score doctor ;-). I don't know, I suppose this is another debate. ;-)

    I don't see why not. Kamen could still have done LTK, wirth Barry returning for GE. That would have been one less problem to fix with GE.

    Yes, he could have, and yes, he should have. I never cared much for Serra. Never cared much for the electro-sounds that followed either, the filmscores of the nineties are the worst, IMO

    John Barry was asked to score GE, but at the time was not interested in doing Bond anymore!! Feeling that he'd contributed enough to the series, BB understood this and Barry & Eon parted company for now!!!! So as we all know Barry never returned to Bond again!!! But being BB's god father, and responsible for one of the key parts of Bond's DNA, remained in touch with Eon & co till his death last year!!!!
    Barry would of made GE just that bit more special, and given PB his very own Barry/Bond score!, which up till then had happend to all the Other Bond actors!!!! :-B

    It did, though I knew that would happen before it I saw it happen for the first time, on screen. Maybe the filmmakers thought the same and knew that the audience would expect it, so no problems?

    On one hand, it was a cheap plot device. On the other hand, if we were told it was a buzz saw, we would of seen it coming a mile away. So I'm actually indifferent on this one.

    Agree, only slightly. Bond gets gadgets at the start of the film (think FRWL), and we know that he will use them in a dire situation in the future. The attache case is a great use against Grant, full of all its little toys. So letting us know the watch was a buzz saw wouldn't be an issue.
