I've made some final revisions to my cover art. I apologize for the double entry. Hope there isn't a law saying submissions are final once posted!

    Very nice all.

My personal favourite has to be haserot's second entry, though - there is just something about it. Can I ask what you used to make it? I would normally just assume Photoshop, but it seems a little too good (or maybe 'quirky' would be a better way to put it) for it, if that even makes sense. Admittedly, that judgement could be down to my lack of any real Photoshop ability beyond generic posters.

Honourable mention to Gobi - perhaps something slightly more Live and Let Die related would have won me over, though it is obviously very slick technically.

Quoting CoH_GHOST_007: can't find a way to get it up
    That's what she said :-j

Okay, we have the first entries the same day the new novel is announced! And four entries by the same user within two days! I know how long it takes to develop ideas and work them out. Could it be that some here know more than others?

:O Nick. Those final touches just made your cover truly a work of art. That blood drop is inspired!

Haserot, you are also clearly a genius. Where have you been hiding all these years?
Quoting Captain_Nikoli: Could it be that some here know more than others?
What reason would there be to rig the book cover contest? You really created an account to post that?

Trust me my friend, some of us just have nothing better to do. (I'm talking about myself, by the way.)
    O:)

I really appreciate that! May I also welcome you to the new house. Make yourself at home!

Live and Let die is probably my favourite Fleming book, but when I see the current entries, I don't feel like trying to enter the competition. there's already to many brilliant stuff here. Nick's cover is specially awesome !

coh-ghost-007 that ain't lame my mate it's brilliant.

It just seemed that some know it before what title will come next. Even if I had time enough, I would't drop four cover artworks within a few hour. At least no good ones.

And I didn't create an account to post that, my original account disappeared with the rest of the forum.

@Captain_Nikoli I've seen Gaz's pictures on Flickr. He had all of Fleming's novel done prior to the whole contests beginning.

    Go for it @CoH_GHOST_007

@Captain_Nikoli - for the record, only one non-administrator knew of the cover choice before it was announced on the main site/community. Even then, it was just a suggestion for the next cover to be designed. A suggestion that we opted for.

i started thinking about ideas for all the novels, the minute i sat down at started on my first attempt at The Man With The Golden Gun..... but i never made them - they were ideas... and honestly, i hadn't really put much thought into Live And Let Die, until the day it was announced - then the creative juices started flowing..

the skull cover just came out of the whole voodoo vibe - and i would be lying if i said i wasn't also influenced by the opening credits to the film itself...

but as i was finishing that one, the idea for the second came into my head - the one with the voodoo doll - so i quickly did that one up...

after using photoshop for 10 years, i have become very very proficient at it - and both those covers took me no less than 30 - 45 minutes to do...

that's how i was able to get them out so quick....... i hate to be a braggart, but i am fast..
    :-D

    - true... but two of the covers I've uploaded here are brand new and created just for this contest. I don't mind if just those two are considered if anyone objects to old designs being entered!

I'm not a fan artist. And would have no idea how to start.
But some of these are simply brilliant.
Keep up the good work folks, and don't be shy. I guarantee you'll do better than me. ;;)

I see you're having some problems!
Try not to quintuple post. I've cleaned up some of your posts for clarity.
I will also try and fix the embedding for you. I like the cover!
