    What about Paris?

Would love to see Blofeld but this is highly unlikely. Wish EON would return to announcing the title of the next film in the end credits, James Bond will return in....
I DO NOT want to see a return to the Roger Moore era of cheap jokes and innuendoes.

Imagine Bond was granted involvement with his former regiment (030? Or whatever the rebooted 2006 unit was?) and
led them in assault at the old Scottish castle from the sea
. I would just love to hear: "All units ready, Commander". Perhaps with the weakening loyalty to M, Bond is forced to bypass her and organise something with the MoD?

I wish they just gave Bond a straight-forward mission. No personal stuff whatsoever. When was the last time they did that? TLD?

    Casino Royale, actually.

    Nah, Vesper stuff. Remember?

Vesper and Paris happened half way through there respective films, It may have motivated bond but not influenced the story.

The return of the GUN BARREL LOGO at the beginning of the film sets the stage for the excitement ahead. It was disturbing having it missing in the last two films. For Skyfall, I'd like to see some humor and thank God Sam Mendes finally got rid of David Arnold!

Uggh comparing the two is an insult. Paris was so atrociously acted and the potential was all lost.
  • A good original story, not a rip-off of Goldfinger like the last film. Woman in gold, woman in oil? Come on. Also, how about Q and some comic relief?
  • gunbarrel start, anew updatedversion not the fast walk and shoot in Qos, more john barry style music ,set the standard agin fo action !!!!!

I hope that Eve's character does not pander to the 'Bond's equal' nonsense that in my opinion has had a detrimental effect in previous films.

Vesper I can arguably see because she was part of the villain's plan. Bond had no personal stakes at the beginning. It started out as a straightforward mission for Bond but ended on a personal note.

But in TND, M specifically sends Bond after Carver because of Bond's past with Paris. That one has a personal angle from the beginning.

As far what I'd like to see in Skyfall...at some point, I'd like to see Bond visit Vesper's grave a la OHMSS (the novel). But that could be in Bond 24 or 25--it would make more sense in a Quantum movie.

First of all - I would like to see the return of Q. I also would like if the movie is more like the movies from the sixties, seventies and eighties. Earlier Craig outings has been more like other action movies. The bottom line - I want Bond to be diffrent from guys like Jason Bourne or Ethan Hunt.

I like the realism, but he doesn't have to be a drone killer. Craig's Bond isn't the mix between realistic and fictional Bond many people make him out to be. Hes just a 'jump first, think later' muscle of a spy. Not Bond. They could blend it a little better. Just DO THE BOOK BOND. It can't be that hard.

Don't photocopy Bourne. If anyone, photocopy Hunt! Those movies are at least fun!

Yes, and one scene doesn't make an entire film a rip-off of another. Geez.

I want to see Bond not wearing dinner jacket.

I know that's impossible now because it's become a tradition and it's a 50th anniversary film, but sometimes it feels a bit unnecessary. Like it's there just for the sake of being worn. Clearest example of this is in Moonraker. Why would anyone wear a dinner suit for Rio Carnival?

If I'm right, the last "no dinner jacket" film was LALD.

You're right @Superintendent, another "classic" element that could be dropped for one film. I think in Skyfall, Bond will wear one while gambling in Shanghai.

There is usually a good reason for the dinner jacket. Yes MR is a bad example, but as long as Bond has a good reason, I'm fine with it. As a side note, I love him stealing a tux that fits perfectly in QoS :). Another thing I want back is "Shaken, not stirred" but only if it is done in a good way. TWINE is a good example of it just being thrown in there and being terrible
  • Glad to see that everybody wants the gunbarrel back in the beginning.
I'm all for it, that's the only way to start a Bond movie.

Then I'd like to hear half a decent titlesong.. (haven't even heard that in a while)

The theme of the titlesong recurring in the film and on the soundtrack. And I agree: no more techno renditions of the bond theme.. bin there, done that, next please.

Non silicone ladies in the titles. Less boring titles would be nice too. Not covering the ladies up would help :P

A real relationship between Bond and the leading lady.. It'd be nice if they end up together this time. (Third time is a charm, Daniel)

A serious adventure.. OK - but can Bond have some fun along the way?

The classic bond introduction in the PTS, where we don't see his face untill he introduces himself. (Would be a nice hommage to 50 years of Bond)

A setting where Bond annoys the villain with words, and he can't do anything about it. Innuendoes, yes please.. but not the easy and cheap ones!

No more so fake that it is obvious CGI. I'd prefer real stunts.

After all those titles I also like to read the title of the next Bond film!

  • More cgi (that DAD para-sailing scene was cool!)
more random celebrity appearances like Madonna
    shaky-cam style quick editing
strong-empowered ball-busting women who are not just the equal of bond but get the better of him
    a short running time
    no gun-barrel
less locations and more studio-bound scenes
more copying of the Bourne franchise
    less plot
a return of the invisible car

His sentence was structured to read that the story was a rip-off of Goldfinger.
