Thanks,@Baltimore_007. I'll keep in mind that sometimes it can be Bond (I wouldn't d it either, just personal preference).

Last attempt for this morning: Melina in FYEO

I was reading through the clues once more. Is it Miss Magda from Octopussy ?
  • edited August 2013 Posts: 6,396
    WooHoo, we have a winner.

Yes the answer was indeed Magda from OP. The answers to those clues:

    1. Not exactly lepidoptery
She likes to collect "memories" for her scrapbook (not moths or butterflies)
    2. Looks like the bloody lift is out of order again then!
No working lift? No problem. Just throw yourself out the window!
    3. Who needs two when one will do
No need for two champagne glasses when she can share a "loving cup" with Bond
    4. Rather partial to a reading of Oliver Twist
In reference to her pickpocket skills when she steals the General's wallet.

Congrats @Baltimore_007 and over to you.

Didn't realize I was victorious, but some of the above clues gave it away in the end, especially the pickpocket pointer

In any event, let's move on to the next round

#1 I did not have a good morning

#2 I was unable to experience the night

#3 You won't see me at Disneyland

#4 Some distinguished company came to see me

#5 Say my name three times

#6 I feel I may know Dustin Hoffman

#7 The above clue may be a reference to near where I was last seen, or involved in

    #8 I had a moment of confusion

#9 I had something to sell, in a later appearance

#10 I got a bit carried away, in the end

Good luck to any, and all, participants

Max the Parrot? A strange guess, I know...

    Koskov?
It is not Natalya Simonova, Georgi Koskov or Max the Parrot (!)

Two more clues to be getting on with, will check at a later date for progress

#11 Another James Bond made a reference to what occured to me, in another film, that was witnessed by another James Bond

#12 I made an error, but they were very benevolent about it

You can add Tanner to the 'list' of incorrect responses

Having a degree of fun with this, so here's a handful of subsequent clues to be working with

    #13 I saw a most horrendous sight

    #14 I died hard - with a vengeance

    #15 I was beyond assistance

#16 You won't enjoy a drink with me

Sure does, but I can't think of a connection for Dustin Hoffman

It's been driving me crazy all day. There are one or two other characters that tie in with some of the clues but not all of them.

The only thing I could relate it to was Dustin Hoffman played Shylock in the Merchant of Venice

Well hopefully Baltimore_007 will provide more clues when he comes back on :-)

Being quick, it is not Vesper Lynd, and I can't quite comprehend the answer after that (?), or Gobinda, and that seems about all the responses we have on this

Just a few more clues thrown in for good measure

#17 It was a good year for the city. They saw a win. But I suffered a loss

#18 I'm not really one for music. But if I had to pick a favorite group - maybe Blondie

#19 I was in an element of danger, one more than one occasion

#20 Something was up - in more ways than one

#21 Some of my nearest and dearest, ended up in the same predicament

#22 I was seperated at death

Will get back to this at a more 'appropriate' time to check for progress. Good luck once again to all participants

Is that all the responses there has been ?

I no longer remember this game like it once was, but it's not Valentin Zukovsky, it is not Fiona Volpe and it is not Max Zorin

May as well add some new clues, since we're at it, to get this moving

    #23 I had a Stir of Echoes

#24 Some might say, I have great affection

    #25 I had a brush with death

#26 I was involved in a rapid departure

I'll check on "progress" at a later date

never mind trolls, who's going to participate in this latest round ?

Domino Derval is incorrect, Elektra King is incorrect, and Melina Havelock also constitutes a wrong response

few more pointers to keep this moving, but is it even worth it ?

#27 I did not have a great escape

#28 Someone had to pay - and in more ways than one

    #29 I had a French Connection

    #30 I was without a definitive number

    More participation is always encouraged

Gosh, you're cruel Baltimore! Is it Corinne Dufour? But I think it might be a minor character, like Charles Robinson or Damian Falco...
