This is the sort of thread that amuses me.

First showing with fiancée: £8 each*. £16 or $25.45
Second showing with two friends: £4.50 each*. £13.50 or $21.47.
    My total = $46.92

    MI6 Total:$2557.72

*same cinema, first showing was the release day, second a Tuesday the week after when local cine has an offer on.

Add another $7 and make it $2,564.72.
  • Oh dear, a lot of other people posted at the same time...

That's allright, I did the math for you.

    MI6 Total: $2,510.80

    Cheers!

    • 5 showings:

    1st: 6 ticket at €9.50 = €57.00
    2nd: 5 ticket at €11.50 = €57.50
    3rd: 2 tickets at €9.00 = €18.00
    4th: 2 ticket at €8.50 = €17.00
    5th: 4 tickets at €9.00 = €36.00

    Total: € 185.5 -> $ 236,50

    MI6 Total: $2,747.3

@Germanlady….if you do the maths here, don’t add the 2nd and the 4th viewing into the total amount, I have already done this. This would look like we would try to push the BO of Skyfall LOL
  • First time I went with my dad, spent £29.40.
Second time I went with a friend we spent £10.
    So £39.40.

My world premiere ticket cost 75 squid (about $120). Which'll bump up the total a tad, I guess.

Yet to see it again - what the hell am I doing with my time...? :O

I've been meaning to ask this since @DiscoVolante posted here, but I forgot to...

Do the World Premiere tickets count as SKYFALL box office profits?
  • JWPepperJWPepper You sit on it, but you can't take it with you.

Actually, that's a good point - as proceeds definitely went to the chosen charity (as they always do); this time a British Intelligence employees' charity fund thing. So maybe they didn't?

Hmmm, if that's the case, I haven't contributed to its profits at all yet! Such a rebel of the 'corporate man'... :p

I was afraid so. That means not only we can't add your $120, @St_George, but we also have to subtract @DiscoVolante's. Damn, we'd be over $3,000. :P

So, subtracting Disco's and adding @JWPepper and @jamesh101's contributions, we have a total of $2,838.74.

Reached double (oh) figures this evening, seeing the mighty SF for a 10th time.

6 @ £5.00 each (with Showcase Insider discount)
    4 @ £6.50 each (includes buying a ticket for a friend)
    1 @ £7.90 (Cineworld)

    Total spend to date: £63.90
    Converted to dollars: $101.77

I took my whole family to see the IMAX version on opening night, so that's £60. I have since seen it five other times in regular projection (six in total), so that's another £35.

    Total = £95 (around $140).

    Worth every penny!

We did it back in 2006 & 2008 and it's fun, so why not again?

It's simple. You take your own contribution, convert it to US Dollars, add it to the previous post's number and then post the sum.

When I say 'MI6's contribution', that's not very strict to just members of the community. I suggest counting not only the money you paid yourself, but the total of what you and your company paid each time.

If you see the film again, visit this thread once more and add your latest contribution.

    Let me start.

So far I've seen SKYFALL twice, but I'm going again tonight. 9 tickets in total. At 7€ each, that's 63€ or $80.09.
Could you please do the same for a starving fellow member from Greece? It will be greatly appreciated !!! ( LOL)
