    I don't think anyone said DB7. And the car in TLD wasn't a Vantage, it was a standard AMV8, or at least badged as one (well, it was a Volante until it wasn't of course ;) )

    The Lotus, no question. My all-time favourite Bond car. Such a beautiful aesthetic to it, like a glimpse of a future that never quite came. Just one snag: I seem to recall Roger Moore saying it was so low-slung it was impossible to get in and out of it with any dignity!

    Aston. However, if the Lotus were the turbo from FYEO I'd go that white one.

    The 1985 Aston Martin V8 MkIV or Vantage or otherwise is the most beautiful car I ever saw. Plus it can fit a cello case in the back seat. So that one.

    I’m glad the Bond one wasn’t a Vantage, I think they look better without that body kit. I’m not keen on the big chin spoiler.

    Funnily enough, the TLD cars were a bit of a mixed bag of ages: AM had a long waiting list so couldn’t give Eon new cars. I think one of them was as old as a 1973 car.

    I love the Lotus, and it's instantly recognisable as a Bond car by everyone, but I hear they break down constantly. Plus the Aston is an auto so I might manage to drive it semi-competently.

    (who am I kidding, I drove one on a 'Bond car experience' and stalled it 3 times getting it on to the track)

    I adore the Guglielmo Giugiaro design on the Esprit, I must say. But the Aston is just so synonimous with TLD, I couldn't refuse it.

    You make the choices so hard. The Lotus has the instantly recognizable, iconic Giugiaro wedge shape, while the AM in the late 80s was stuck with the design aesthetics of late 60s/early 70s American muscle cars (Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, etc). But still, the V8 would be my choice, for the leather, the dash, the sound.

    As I do love that musclecar look, I'd definately go for the AM. The Lotus has a design I just don't like. I'd prefer it in blue or green.

    btw, on this car's subject, I just realised Bond in Skyfall directly copied an idea of Johnny English almost 10 years prior (JE Reborn) where JE takes an old AM to be untracable for the digi-savvy bad guy.
