  He certainly had charisma and swagger, and he was good at action, but as an actor, he was a bit lacking. Some of his line deliveries are pretty laughable, although there's a lot of dubbing in CN:WG, so that probably doesn't help. But I think he lacked a bit in gravitas and depth.
  
  He was good for a campy British TV show, but as a big screen leading man, I just don't think he was good enough, and I'm not really sure what he'd have brought to the role besides his hard man image.

  
  Moore and Brosnan really had that movie star charisma.
