Thanks, @MaxCasino ! With all the financial troubles Dynamite has been having, I was afraid this was cancelled outright!

You're both welcome! I did also ask her if any classic characters are returning. She didn't respond. Which meets we might see a classic character(s) return that aren't regularly seen in Bond. She also stated her love for TMWTGG. So we could see the return of Scaramanga maybe? Let's hope!

When could we get Moonraker? Are they still planning to continue doing comic book versions of Fleming?
We only have CR and LALD so far.....

It is frustrating, isn't it? For a brief while, I thought they were going to get us all the books. I was mostly looking forward to MR, DAF, TSWLM, YOLT, and TMWTGG. Another collection started that may never be finished.

Yes, and that's sad and frustrating indeed, because Comics is also a great way for us to understand each scenes in the books better, like we have Folio Society, but it's still different to show each scenes in the books through visual forms where we could understand how each particular scenes have played out, and also the descriptions.

I wonder if Dynamite will ever continue what they so fantastically started with VARGR and Casino Royale. Their silence today is almost deafening.

I’d like more of the novels in the format, but I could personally take or leave other Dynamite content. Eidolon was the peak IMO.
EDIT: Actually Agent of SPECTRE was cool too, great story material there.

VARGR to maybe Solstice is the golden era of Dynamite Bond; what the Connery era is to the film series.

VARGR is kind of the LTK here with its blood and gore. Hammerhead combines elements of TND and TWINE with a female villain taking over her late dad's tech company and boat raid at the end. (Note that Japan has just demonstrated its ship-mounted electromagnetic railgun which looks a lot like Hammerhead.) Black Box is good if a bit too sci-fi, with the main villain reminding me of the enemies in Serpent's Tooth! Ever heard of nail clippers, pal? Solstice is kind of the FRWL with its lean, classic Flemingesque vibe and has similarities to 007 in New York, seeing Bond traveling overseas to save an unknowing woman with ties to MI6 from her KGB agent boyfriend. No scrambled eggs here I'm afraid, but some nuts get cracked, if you know what I mean.

Solstice is by far my favourite, and I'd wish they would adapt this closely to screen - but it's a short story - and like TLD, they'd need to expand on it. For example, have Bond upload the contents of the antagonist's phone to MI6 before tossing it in the river, leading to a bigger network of KGB moles infiltrating intelligence agencies. Maybe the CIA or NSA become a target, giving the writer's the opportunity to include either Felix or one of the NSA Bond girls. Trafalgar Square ending and Christmas theme can remain.

The comics did a nice job of modernizing Bond while adding some of the old traits like the smoking of Morlands and driving of Bentleys. Hopefully Amazon are taking notes and inspiration from this series.
