For the record I’m not sure how realistic that is or what I’d expect from that…
Former strongmen and/or models becoming Bond? Absolutely ridiculous and unprecedented!
Honestly, at this point I have no idea. I think he's unlikely, but he has the right level of fame and talent to play Bond. I do see him as a bit more Jack Reacher than Bond, but he's a very good actor. My instinct, rightly or wrongly though, is the next Bond will be white or come across as such if they're mixed race or whatever. To whatever extent a bias is there might be debatable in practice dependent on the candidates and circumstances, but I think that's what we'll get.
It’s a re-boot of a series based on this character
The aristocratic Inspector Thomas Lynley and the down-to-earth Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers join forces to investigate a series of murders. Their working relationship is challenged by their respective lots in life - Lynley is an earl, while Havers comes from a working-class background. The characters and some of the storylines are based on the novels by Elizabeth George.
Far too old now.
A 55 year old actor for debut as Bond.
I don’t think so.
Technically he debuted in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies.
How old are you @dewiparry ?
But he didn’t play James Bond in TND though @LucknFate so it’s not a debut as Bond.
Wrong thread.
A little trivia , today, August 30 is Mary Shelly’s birthday
Yeah I don't get swayed by photos much, but I must admit his haircut there and general kind of mature look is convincing me a bit more.
The sub-Blue Steel face that ATJ pulls every time he's having his picture taken on the other hand...
Yes I knew that.
I do get what you mean mate. I don't mean to be harsh to Turner, but his face (eyes, nose and mouth) look like it's been minimized if that makes sense. His face looks too small for his head essentially
As for ATJ, why does he look like Adam Sandler in, You Don't Mess With The Zohan?
Because they both have creepy relationships with much older women.
