I couldn't find the original gunbarrel thread.

Hypothetic question- Imagine you're Valentin Zukovsky in his club and Bond presses the Walther to your head and plays both the OP and TLD gunbarrel music, could you tell which is which?

I couldn't for the life of me. AVTAK only differentiates due to the slight up tempo during Roger's walk. I thought about this when I watched a YouTube compilation of all 25 gunbarrel music and walks.

I’d be pretty confident. But then those two Bond films I’ve probably seen the most.

I would like to do a blind test of them at some point though. Minus the Walther PPK of course. ;)

I would say that Dalton was paying tribute to Simmons' gunbarrel. Not only was he a fan of the early films, he wanted to make return to that spirit.

The used gunbarrel also looks a bit like Connery's stance from TB-DAF. I am quite convinced this was all done on purpose by Tim.
Timothy really wanted to put Bond back on the beginning, it was brave and i liked it.
