Longer, better paced QOS is the only correct answer.

Longer QOS. It definitely didn't help that it was so short.

Longer, most importantly the parachute sequence; that needed a few more seconds… 😂

I love QOS so I'll happily take 10-15 more minutes of it.

Longer QOS. No doubt, no hesitation. Including the rumoured plan for the plane scene, with Mathis telling Bond the story of Rhoda and Masters from the QoS short story.

Longer QOS, no question about it. I wouldn't shave a minute from NTTD, but I'd love to spend more time in the world of QOS.

Longer QoS! Love it and would like to have seen more of it, not down on NTTD as some are, but would always prefer QoS , gets better with every viewing!

Longer Quantum. I really enjoy the film, it just feels like it's missing some Bondian elements because of the shorter run time

Yeah they definitely needed that one.

I'll go against the grain and say a shorter NTTD. I love QoS (I love both), but QoS is the film that it is because of all of it's characteristics, including it's runtime. As the shortest film, it's quick, dynamic, compact, things that I appreciate about it. NTTD could use a few fewer minutes right at the end, IMO. But like I said, I love both.

Amazing to see this play out. I thought for sure that we would see a more even battle or at least some equal thoughts. Seems like people think QOS can benefit from some additional moments while NTTD doesn't need to be trimmed to make it better.

I can think of two henchmen that made strong impressions in their films. Jaws and Hinx.

    It got me to thinking...

Would you rather Jaws is only in one film OR Hinx returns for another?

Jaws was a terrifying character and one that audiences loved. So it was a no-brainer he would return. Some say his character in MR was not as well executed as in Spy. That he either should have perished in Spy, as one draft had happen, or simply not come back for MR. But some see his redemption arc as a highlight of MR.

Hinx was one of the bright spots of a movie that left many feeling cold. Hinx was a call back updated for audiences. He fought Bond with a bruising ferocity and yet had style and lethal force combined. A call back to other films in the franchise. Many have suggested he never died from being thrown from the train and could have, should have come back.

Obviously neither will happen, but what would you rather, Jaws in one movie only? Or Hinx returns to make Bond's life hell in another film?

Jaws is too iconic, so I wouldnt remove him from Moonraker, silly as he is. Also he got an appearance in Everything or Nothing too.

Hinx was a hugely underused and underdeveloped character. It wouldve spiced up the fourth act run around the old MI6 building if Hinx was chasing Bond down at the same time.

Not so difficult one. I never liked Jaws much, too much of a caricature at times, especially in MR, yet even in MR he had a few scary moments. But Hinx was always underused I think (his name isn't even mentioned), and far more promising overall, less of a caricature. So yeah, Hinx.

I don't want less Jaws, so I guess I'd go for another Hinx, although I'm not sure he would have worked in another film. But then I guess Bautista is very good, they could have expanded the character... I'm trying to imagine how he might have worked in NTTD. Maybe he replaces Ash as the one who kills Felix, and then Bond and him have a proper mano a mano grudgematch showdown in the Norwegian forest.

I would have liked to have seen Jaws , killed, ironically, by a shark at the end of TSWLM.

Hinx , should have returned either, ,in Rosa Klebb like fashion, for a climactic fight with Bond at the end of SPECTRE or in NTTD . He would have been wearing a bionic, mechanical, neck collar as a result of the train encounter.

Tricky one for me, because Jaws is one of the most iconic and memorable henchmen of the series, and despite the fact I like Bautista as an actor, I don’t think Hinx plays to his strengths and is a pretty lame villain. I’ll go one more from Hinx because they could have expanded the character, but I don’t really see what they could have done with him.

Funnily enough I'm listening to an old podcast with Mendes talking about Spectre, and he does say that it is possible Hinx could return after this film.

One scene that I wish they had added to SPECTRE is that following the killing during the meeting, Hinx would have taken a seat at the table and an assistant would have come over with a folding; opening it he says something like, ‘ let us discuss our Central American operations’.
Even that would have given the character a bit more depth.

Personally, I think it was a misstep casting an actor as charismatic as Bautista (who genuinely has a good bit of dramatic and comedic talent) and making him play this near silent, Terminator-like goon. I know some complain about how comedic Jaws was, but there’s a good bit of personality in the character even if he doesn’t speak. With Hinx they had the opportunity to give us a Bond villain with a level of personality - wise cracking perhaps, a sense of humour to rival Bond’s, or even just someone who could intimidate Bond not only through his hulking presence but how he spoke. I mean, Bautista was a pro wrestler so it would have made sense to go that route instead of giving us a rather generic strongman henchman. Just a missed opportunity.

Definitely Hinx. Like others have said, I wouldn't remove Jaws from MR or the several games he's been in. Theoretically, Hinx could return in the next era much like David Hedison's Felix did.

Yeah I'm even kind of weighing up whether he could do main villain: a sort of Bane-style big hulking main threat for Bond is slightly different to what we usually get (although I guess nothing very new in terms of action adventure movies in general).

No less of Jaws so Hinx for another adventure.

I just wish they'd made more of Hinx's eye-gouging schtick. First time I saw Spectre I completely missed the metal thumbnails. Like the whole character they felt a little underused.

Bautista's such a great actor, with brilliant comic timing. He deserved a second chance to shine.

Would've liked a returning Hinx to have been the last obstacle to Bond rescuing Madeleine in the ruins of the MI6 building.

There was more of that, but then the censors got involved and it was trimmed to make a 12a certificate.

I half expected him to come back, going mano a mano against Bond (albeit with a broken neck), then Bond using Hinx's gun to destroy Blofeld's helicopter.

Had Hinx reappeared at the end, at a time where
Bond and Swann are enjoying some down time, thinking the danger has passed, the metallic thumbnails could have really come into play

Bond should have used an emergency flare found in the boat to force the helicopter down; it could have been shot into the fuselage. I can’t picture a really cool shot of the flare launching from the boat and eventually impacting.

I still say his PPK could have been another gadget gun, as in the previous film, but this one carried an explosive round: he brings the 'copter down with that.

There was a boat-mounted harpoon on Q's desk that I imagine was discussed as a means to bring down the helicopter. Love the PPK takedown though.
