Brutal well matched fight, brilliantly edited even in 4K HDR the stuntmen are well hidden especially for the time and Sean does a lot of stunts here.

Poetic justice Grant dying by his own weapon of choice.

The blood on Bond's hands/knuckles more apparent here.

Bond and Tanya flee via Nash's planned escape, which turns into a SPECTRE gauntlet.

Bond vs Helicopter the exterior shots look amazing.

Blofeld is not happy, someone is going to get the boot...

The boat chase looks like it was shot yesterday with this remaster, wow the wall of fire looks stunning.

To think for years I watched this film on VHS and the picture quality made it look so dated, fast forward to now I am seeing this film in all its glory.

    Morzeny's death is absolutely brutal.

    Scary maid alert!!!

Bond really does look like he if for it as Klebb has him at gun point.

You made the right choice Tanya.

    THE END

    NOT QUITE THE END

    JAMES BOND

    WILL RETURN

IN THE NEXT IAN FLEMMING THRILLER...

    "GOLDFINGER"

That was a joy to watch,

    ---

Goldfinger next up, I think this 4K remaster may surprise me the most from the set, its a film that I have always had mixed feeling about, the second act drags too much for me.

From the set I think the GF steel book cover is the best, just occurred to me i have two GF steel book's now. This is the Blu-ray GF steel book I own...

Great score Barry's music almost mimics Sean's movements in the pre titles sequence.

So much iconography in this film.

Picture looks so much better with HDR and no glare as was the case with the first two outings.

The refection in the eye very Hitchcockian.

Impressed so far, it looks as how I imagine Casablanca would have looked if shot in color, during this pre title sequence.

I like the fact the 4K pop up menu's match the color of the respective films, this obviously being gold, FRWL red etc.

    Shocking positively shocking.

Into Miami such a brilliant piece of music i wish it was longer, when I listen to the score i often rewind that track.

    Dink

The stand in for Mr Simmons for the location shot looks absolutely nothing like the actor playing the roll.

I like that Bond immediately gets under Auric's skin. Jill looks stunning.

Again the fixed aspect ration is a major plus point here. Another great remaster, Oddjobs silhouette what a visual, Jill painted in gold incredible scene, chills.

The black tie dinner scene very cinematic.

First look at Q branch, So many different background sounds I am hearing with Dolby Atmos.

The golf scene the contrast to the Blu-ray is noticeable, this film has already been elevated in my ranking they have done an incredible job here.

Impressive drive of the tee from Goldfinger.

Tilly Masterson is not subtle, and is a terrible shot.

The damage Bond doe to Tilly's car :))

The Switzerland scenes area a huge improvement on the Blu-ray, they removed too much grain on the Blu-ray's.

That was one hell of a car explosion. DB5 never looked better.

    Tilly brutally murdered.

Bond's expression when the gate lady curtsy's is so funny, gate lady is now a gun wielding maniac.

Bond in trouble with his windscreen full of bullet cracks, drives into a wall.

Oddjob looking at his own reflection and smiling is inspired..

    I loooove gold!!!

    I expect you to die.

I would be sweating at this point that laser beam is way too close.

    Nose twitch, its Pussy.

We will never get a James Bond in the future anywhere close to Connery.

    How many spy holes.

Bond now in Kentucky the picture looks so good I am far more engaged than usual.

Goldfinger's pool room is impressive, another masterclass by Ken Adam.

Bond is funny in this film constantly winding people up.

    Goldfinger commits mass murder.

    Solo has a pressing engagement.

All the idea's in this film feel very fresh.

Bond and Pussy have a barney.

"Rock-a-bye baby commences, the aerial shot's look good.

    The baby is asleep.

Dawn raid on fort know by Barry is fire!

Fort Know interior is so impressive you kind of forget its a set.

Goldfinger is racking up some death count.

Bond throwing gold at Oddjob is priceless.

You really do feel Oddjob's strikes, I like how worried Oddjob is when Bond pick's up his hat. Bond using his quick thinking as always in this era.

Bond has absolutely no idea how to disarm this bomb which I like, the scene plays out well.

    OO7

Auric is playing his golden harp.

Loved that watch most I have enjoyed the film, film looks incredible.

Having a quick look at TB though will watch another day, wow mind blowing, I know this will be a further step up from the first three.

Cheers mate, the disks are well worth the money I can't wait for a Roger Moore equivalent set, not seen any news regrading that yet.

I even regret letting my then-gf throw away the covers, putting all the DVD's in one of those dvd/cd collection books. Can't find Dr. No anywhere anymore.

btw, slightly off topic: I understand the 4000k's are good, are those blue-ray? And do you have a player for that, or a console? Used to have BR on a playstation, but alas, again, taken by former-gf (even worse, a different one).

Years later I have put hundreds of DVD's, CD's and Bluray's in polypropylene cases with the art work, if only I had done that with my Bond DVD's and VHS tapes a few decades ago, I would take that compromise now lol

I rewatched the whole film last night LTK is brilliant, out of all the films I am most looking forward to seeing LTK 4K remaster (we will probably have to wait a few years).

LTK is definitely a top ten Bond film for me, Dalton is great I so wish he had got that third Dalton film...

You Only Live Twice first time watch 4K remaster... lets go!!!

UA logo I grew up with followed by a very high pitched gun barrel theme.

This pre title sequence always captured my imagination as a kid, amazing score as the pod is in space. The various shots blend together better with HDR.

    Chills.

The speed of the models in space are what sells this scene.

Feeling compelled to constantly rewind scenes.

Its remarkable that i am in awe of a scene from 58 years and modern CGI blockbusters barely get a reaction from me, its all the combined elements in the great Bond films that make them special.
