Seriously considering going without any Man United players all season, when ever I chose players from my team it complicates things and often ends in failure lol
Edited: I may just get Mbeumo and no other player unless, Mbeumo price tag is lower than I thought it would be.
Edited: Made my first draft and have two Man united players :))
Sporting probably trying to get Arsenal to react...
I would not ne surprised at any outcome football is crazy at times.
That's my experience with AI too, which I now use quite regularly as a tool. What the AI provides you, be it generated images, text summaries, etc – it all rely on the user's prompts.
I had a hard time navigating with the new UI. When it's all new and you're so familiar with a layout that's been very much the same over many seasons, it will take some time getting used to.
Only made one draft so far, and that includes Chido Obi as my third striker. Not decided on formation or many players as of yet; I think they nailed the prices this time around, and I think we can see some very different teams going into gameweek 1. I'm fairly certain I will have Salah in my team, but that's about it really.
It's difficult to tell what's reliable news with transfers these days, but if most of what is written is true, then I won't be surprised if Arsenal messes up this transfer deal. It just can't go on for much longer…
I am hoping Arsenal somehow mess up the deal as United desperately need a top class striker like Gyokeres, he would be ideal for our system.
Some of my spelling is bad, I need to get my eyes tested lol
Right now Obi is sitting on the bench, and he will be if I stick with the 4-4-2 formation in my current draft. If he gets regular minutes he can be great option from the bench and in the right games. I think the striker spots are the most difficult spots right now; I just don't see that many players I think can outscore the midfielders. Preseason might change my thinking considerably though.
Indeed. This will be a lot stronger attack than what they could field last season. Maybe with a new striker coming in as well, they look all sorted for the upcoming season, in those positions.
I wonder if Lepzig will be just as difficult with United as they were with Arsenal about the transfer of Šeško. He will cost more than Gyökeres if they stick to their asking price.
It is difficult to know how that will play out, from my point of view i am happy that United seem to have the money to spend. I just hope we don't end up going for a quick fix striker option as we need to be competing. INEOS of said we should be fighting at the top of the table I am paraphrasing, they need to get players in to do that, apparently we are after three more signings according to tier one journalists... a striker, midfielder and goal keeper.
Given what United paid for Mbeumo, it certainly seems like they have money to spend. A striker, midfielder and a goalkeeper seems like sensible signings for United too.
I actually thought before the transfer window opened that Kepa Arrizabalaga could have been an option for them, coming from a decent season at Bournemouth and available at a price that would allow upgrades elsewhere. I'm very happy he ended up at Arsenal, as Arsenal's other reported target, Joan García, had a 25m Euros release clause. Had they got him, that would have impacted Arsenal's transfer activity significantly.
Do you think Kepa wil challenge for number one spot.
Heard mixed reports about Sesko today, the last I heard was his asking price has been dropped? If true maybe the club are panicking after Arsenal pulled out.
I'm not sure really. I think he's come to Arsenal to prove himself, and given the number of games and all the competitions, he will get his chances. It's an important spot to have competition for too, because it will bring out the best in Raya as well.
Pretty sure Leipzig took a gamble on Arsenal accepting whatever they were asking for in the end, as they knew Arsenal desperately needed a striker. I don't think they counted on how Berta arriving at Arsenal, has most likely influenced how the club approach their transfer activity. Berta is apparently known to work on multiple targets at once, while Edu was more of a "find the one player and get him" kind of guy.
From what I've read, Lepizig must sell players, which might force their hand the longer we get into the transfer window. At some point we might see them lower their asking price, or the structure of the deal. The structure of the deal was apparently something that made the transfer impossible for Arsenal; Lepizig was asking for a lot to be paid up front, whereas with the deal for Gyökeres, the issue was more about the various add-ons rather than the transfer fee itself.
I was thinking of Kepa for my team.
Yeah I heard that if anyone wanted to pay in installments then the Sesko price would go up, if they need to sell it will strengthen United's position, not sure if anyone else in looking at him now.
Ah! I wouldn't go for an Arsenal goalkeeper. I think Raya will play in the PL games, but I would rather look to getting a defender if covering the Arsenal defence.
I think one or two Saudi clubs have enquired about Šeško from what I've read, but I think he will either end up staying at Leipzig or go to another European club. Depending on United's transfer strategy, it wouldn't surprise me if they make a move for him.
Wow! Can see a scenario now where Liverpool sell Diaz to fund Isak. Obviously, Al Hilal can probably pay him whatever he wants…
Ekitike a possible replacement for Diaz? I think he can play in this position.
Slot is certainly building his own squad now.
Very much looks like it will Liverpool or no move for Isak. There can't be any other clubs in Europe at least that can afford him. Can't see anyone competing with Liverpool for the title with him in the team.
Defensively Liverpool are not as good as Arsenal who were one of the best teams in europe last season even with so many injuries to top players.
You could say Liverpool were mostly injury free for the title win, imagine if VVD or Salah were injured.
We need a couple of central defenders as most teams will be playing counter attacking tactics against them in the EPL and the cups.
It wouldn't surprise me if Liverpool could afford a defensive signing or two, especially now that Luis Díaz is on his way to Bayern. Even so, that attack Liverpool are building now is scary good, and will more than make up for whatever else the team might miss.
How do you rate him as a FPL option right now?
I would not get him as an asset at this stage, I think Cunha may be the assister to the assist early days, time will tell.
Cunha will impact United though class player, I have seen odd clips previously though did not realize how good he actually is, game changer.
I've been trying to make a few more drafts, but not really getting anywhere with the striker spots. Too many question marks with many of the strikers right now.
I am hesitant with both of our two big signings simply because our system has not functioned very well (I have major issues with our system) they are both great players no question, will Man United gel as a team?
You'd think both of them will contribute to the system actually functioning, though it will depend heavily on the rest of the team – and whoever they might bring in. In isolation they are no doubt fantastic signings for United.
My eyes welled up that was amazing.
I heard Kelly was frozen out, it ended up Kelly making history.
