Amazon are definitely going to keep the gunbarrel, Bond theme, title song, title sequence, etc. They want to make us as happy as they can, because they know we didn't trust them earlier. The only thing is, the look of the film is definitely going to be very ultra-modern...which is a great thing.

With all the talk of honoring the legacy of Eon’s franchise, I’ll be shocked if they don’t try to make it feel like a continuation in terms of franchising. Even while Craig films have bent the rules they still felt very Eon.

Thats certainly what i am hoping for…

Again there has never been a good non EON bond film so i am nervous about this

This is still Eon Productions, the only difference this time is that the Broccolis aren’t running the show. Heyman and Pascal seem to actually be the best people to succeed as new producers, at least for the moment.

It’s half EON productions. But without any creative input it really isn’t.

Were Craig to hate the new Bond actor, what would be the point of saying so? Whomever is chosen will not please everyone. "Oh, he's not Craig, or Moore, or Connery." I hope he pleases me, but he might not. I came to like GL after many years. Never fully warmed up to Moore. Brosnan never convinced he was Bond. Whether I become a big fan of the next Bond actor remains to be seen, but I am sure I will enjoy the next Bond film. Always do, even when some end up as my least favorites.

My hope is that for the new era, we don't explore a cynical, aging Bond at the back end of his career. I don't need more reminders of what getting old is like. Much prefer to see youth, energy, and maybe some optimism/

I doubt it. I think we are going to get a young Bond, or at least one in his mid-30s who can do 3-4 films.

My concern is that they will instantly saddle Bond #7 with his new Tracy or Vesper or Madeleine, and I think that would be a mistake. Maybe Gala, or Tiffany or Mary, rebooting the last two. Plus, we never got Kissy Suzuki's name onscreen.

Agree. But beyond Gala and Tiff, I think Bond needs to just be his womanizing self out of the gate.

No Eon involved; as far as I understand it Eon is now just another company which the co-owners of Bond happen to own, as related to Bond as Chitty Productions Ltd. is.
