AND I woke up and realized that I cannot do that. We are only replacing or switching actors and actresses who have already been IN a Bond film.
Oh NOOOO!
If only it had been made 10 years earlier.
Lazenby: For Your Eyes Only.
Moore: Diamonds are Forever.
Dalton: A View to a Kill.
Brosnan: The Living Daylights.
Craig: Moonraker.
I dont think it'd be weird if Dalton actually it would.
After trying to picture this, I think I really agree. And I'm sure he would have liked to have Judi's M die in his arms. He must have had mixed feelings watching Skyfall.
I agree. It would have given the chance for Brosnan to make the Bond film he always wanted to star in and certainly would have been a more dignified exit than DAD.
Sean Connery in Tomorrow Never Dies
George Lazenby in For Your Eyes Only
Roger Moore in Diamonds Are Forever
Timothy Dalton in Quantum of Solace
Pierce Brosnan in The Spy Who Loved Me
Daniel Craig in Dr. No
I could think of some other fun ones too, like Dalton in From Russia with Love or Craig in Thunderball. I wouldn't actually make these switches, but theoretically these are some I'd find interesting to see.
TB: Luciana Paluzzi as Domino(who she screen tested for) and Claudine Auger as Volpe
GF: Tania Mallet as Jill and Shirley Eaton as Tilly
TSWLM: Caroline Munro as Triple X and Barbara Bach as Naomi
CR'06: Caterina Murino as Vesper and Eva Green as Solange
and
AVTAK: Grace Jones as Stacy and Tanya Roberts as May(with no changes in the script. You have to admit that would certainly be interesting to say the least!)
Adolfo Celi as Blofeld in all the Blofeld films
Caroline Munro as Tiffany Case
Stephanie Sigman (Spectre PTS) as Sylvia Trench (in fact come to think of it, she really is a sort-of Sylvia Trench. “Where are you going?”)
Steven Berkoff as Stromberg
Lazenby: Man With The Golden Gun
Moore: Diamonds Are Forever
Dalton: For Your Eyes Only (Would of suited him perfectly)
Brosnan: The Living Daylights
Craig: GoldenEye
That's actually an excellent shout.
For some reason I feel like TMWTGG would have worked really well with Connery.
YOLT with Moore (imagine Sir Rog pretending to be Japanese... actually don't! That would be horrible)
CR with Dalton would have been something to behold.
TLD with Brosnan
Likewise - I think he would pull it off.
Pierce Brosnan as James Bond 007 alias "James St. John-Smythe" alias "James Stock"
Priscilla Barnes as Stacy
Andreas Wisniewski as Max Zorin
Trina Parks as May Day
George Baker as Sir Godfrey Tibbett
Patrick Macnee as M
John Cleese as Q
Michaela Clavell as Miss Moneypenny
Alison Doody as Kimberly Jones
Barbara Bach as Pola Ivanova
Teri Hatcher as Jenny Flex
Soon-Tek Oh as Chuck Lee
Louis Jourdan as Scarpine
Jimmy Dean as Bob Conley
Gert Frobe as Dr. Karl Mortner
André Maranne as Achille Aubergine
Robert Brown as the Minister of Defence
John Rhys-Davies as General Gogol
James Bond-Tim Dalton
Tatiana Romanova-Fiona Fullerton
Ali Kerim Bey-Topol
Red Grant-Dan Craig
Rosa Klebb-Dame Judi Dench
Kronsteen-Mads Mikkelsen
Sylvia Trench-Caroline Munro
Morzeny-Gottfried John
Blofeld-Christoph Waltz
Craig in outer space makes me laugh!
These are really, really good.
Brosnan: FYEO
Craig: TSWLM
Connery TMWTGG (and Jack Palance as Scaramanga)
Moore: OHMSS
Lazenby: LALD
I did a bit of a thought experiment recently imagining Roger in LTK, and to be honest it wasn’t too hard to picture, weirdly enough! It’s not actually all that much stronger than parts of FYEO, and he did grittier stuff than Bond like The Naked Face and Wild Geese so although it initially seems like exactly the wrong Bond actor, I do think he’d have managed it. Not playing to his strengths really and it suited Dalton more, but he could have done it. In fact one area I think he’d have been better would have been the wedding and his relationship with Felix: Dalton’s Bond seems very uncomfortable at the wedding (imagine his best man’s speech!) and I’m not sure I really buy that him and Felix are friends: with Roger I think those parts would have worked much better, and his friendship with Felix is supposed to drive the whole film of course.
Of course Daltons Bond was uncomfortable at the wedding! Considering what happened to his own wife!!! Goes to show how good an actor Dalton is!
Disagree with you about how his friendship worked with Felix, I thought it came across really strongly, and in that wonderful moment when they freefall to the Church! Only Bond!
LTK: Pierce Brosnan
Twine: Daniel Craig. More drama/humor then CR how he wil do it and how he wil be with Desmond last. He take Bond 21 from Brosnan, but that experience that first vijf actors have he never get. With Daniel Craig in Twine he wil have that once time experience before a second time be stolen from him.
DAD: Daniel Craig. 2x John Cleese, but that is not same Daniel and to remind that scene that new Q (R) talking about Desmond Q wil be another finger to him.
Casino Royale 2006: Pierce Brosnan. It always feel there get inspiration of Twine, but with more aggression. There are 2-3 scènes that i possible wil dislike more with him.
QOS: Timothy Dalton. The production design and some locations already feels a lot LTK.
SF: Pierce Brosnan. M her death will more impact. Also iam curious about him with Naomi Harris.
SP: Pierce Brosnan.
NTTD: Timothy Dalton
None Bond:
Brosnan Thomas Crown Affair: Daniel Craig
Connery Entrapment: Pierce Brosnan
Brosnan Mrs Doubtfire: Daniel Craig
Connery Just Cause: Daniel Craig
Moore Bead & Breakfast: Pierce Brosnan
Brosnan Mama Mia: George Lazenby
Dalton The Tourist: Roger Moore
